Chapter 30

Wait ’Til I Tell Ye

EPISODE 815 TRANSCRIPT

Jen: Okay, that photo of the princess being carried over the prince’s shoulder, his hand on her ass, with that basket of strawberries? That was cute and hot.

Lindsey: Yeah, that was apparently taken by one of the stable hands. He said they’re always flirting and laughing and even making out around the ranch. WHY CAN’T THEY DO THAT OUT IN PUBLIC?? I want to see it!

Jen: Same!! And that photo was posted right after the prince’s own photo taken of the princess in her boots, all dirty from working. Have you seen that people are having a hard time finding rubber boots on the island? They’re ordering online.

Lindsey: I saw that Linnea posted that they’re going to be coming out with a special boot for little girls with a Princess Abigail design. You’ll only be able to get them from one of the businesses here in Cara. And they’re getting a local artist to design it!

Jen: Oh, I hadn’t heard that! That’s amazing.

Lindsey: It is. They’re bringing business to the islanders and the princess is interacting indirectly with people in a really interesting new way. But I still WANT TO MEET HER IN PERSON!

Chapter 31

Abigail

“You’re so fucking sweet. Even without the chocolate sauce,” Torin says, dragging his lips up my neck to my ear.

“I’m never going to get this done.” I still lean my head back against his shoulder, giving him more access to my neck.

“I can make you not care,” he says. He dips his finger into the melted chocolate again and drags it over the upper curve of my breast that’s showing just above the tank top and apron I’m wearing. He leans in and drags his tongue over the swipe of chocolate.

I’m supposed to be making chocolate dipped strawberries. But yeah, I really don’t care at the moment. I give a little moan. “You’re right. But then all this goes to waste.”

“How about I just pour this all over you and spend the rest of the night with my tongue on every inch of your body?”

I laugh lightly. “That’s not really that different from how we spend most nights.”

He lifts his head and grins down at me wickedly. “Have I mentioned how much I like being married to you?”

God, there is something so ridiculously hot about him saying stuff like that.

I really like being married to him too. I can’t believe that two of our twelve months is already over.

Our lips have just met and I’m just tasting my chocolate on my husband’s tongue, when I hear, “We need to talk.”

We pull apart with little groans. We turn to look at Linnea as she comes into the kitchen, Jonah right behind her.

“What are you doing here?” Torin asks, glancing up at the clock. It’s eight p.m. Jonah and Linnea are here often, but almost never this late unless we’ve set up a meeting.

“Well, if you would answer your phone, I wouldn’t have to stop by in person. But I don’t need you to tell me what you’ve been doing instead of looking at your phone,” she says.

I laugh. I’m sure it’s clear in spite of the chocolate I’m stirring and the previously dipped strawberries cooling on the parchment paper on the counter, that we haven’t just been working.

“Is everything all right?” Torin asks. He straightens slightly but doesn’t give me much space.

“Yes and no,” she says. She and Jonah take seats on the stools across the island from us.

I can feel some tension in Torin’s body now. I frown. “What’s going on?”

“As you know, you are social media stars. Everyone loves everything they’re seeing about you.”

I roll my eyes. “Most of what they see from us.”
