I laugh. "I feel a lot better, actually. I suppose sometimes I’ll also have to do these public speeches. And sometimes I might even throw up. But as long as I get to talk to people like you, I think it's going to be okay."

Maybe it will help if I just imagine Aisling and her mom and these other women in the crowd.

Suddenly, the door behind me opens.

"Abigail?" Torin steps out.

He has the same reaction I did when he realizes there's a little crowd gathered out here.

He pulls up short, straightening. "Well, hello, ladies."

"It's the prince!" Aisling says.

I actually giggle. His eyes snap to me when he hears the sound. Then an eyebrow rises. He can tell that I'm happy. That I’m good. That I'm surrounded by people, but that I'm very, very good.

"Everything okay out here?" he asks.

"Everything is great out here," the woman in the pantsuit says. "I think you have yourself an excellent princess here."

He gives them a grin. A real, genuine Torin grin. And I know at least a few of the women swoon a little.

"I'm very glad to hear that you are finding my princess as charming and delightful as I do."

"She's smart," the woman with the walker tells him.

He nods. "Extremely."

"So that means whatever she tells you about later, you're going to agree with, right?" Sorcha asks him.

Torin looks from her to me, takes in my grin, then back to her and nods. "I've already learned that's a very good thing to do."

She winks at me. "He already knows how to treat a princess."

I step close to him and slide my hand into his. "Oh, he definitely does." I look up at him then I look at Sorcha. "I don't suppose you have a cell phone?"

She laughs. "Of course, I do."

"Would you mind taking a photo for me? Or better yet, a video?"

She pulls her phone out from her pocket and holds it up. "Sure."

Then I turn to my husband, slide my hand up behind his neck and pull him down for a kiss. Torin only takes two seconds to respond. He dips me back and kisses me deeply as the crowd awws and claps.

When he rights me, we’re both grinning. I look at Sorcha.

"Got it," she says.

"Would you be willing to send that to a certain podcast?"

She laughs. "Consider it done."

I grin up at Torin. “Okay, I’m ready to go on stage.”

"You sure?"

"Of everything," I tell him confidently.

He puts his hand on my lower back and ushers me through the door.
