“Patricia is with her.”

“I know. I saw them sneak inside. Your wife is slick, but I’m afraid Moreno’s daughter needs practice.”

“Keep them safe.”

“Understood.”

“Morozov has them, but he didn’t kidnap them. Vivian and Patricia hitched a ride.”

“Why the fuck would they do that?”

“Who the hell knows? Frankly, I think they’re safer with him and out of danger than with these assholes. Let’s clean house and then we can get our women. Are the rest of the women safe?”

Dad nods. “Yes.”

“Knowing your wife, it’s because she wants my wife out of the picture.”

“No, because Viper thinks she can handle this shit on her own.” We sent our men out around the area, but those who were lurking seemed to have scattered as soon as they spotted us. I’m not letting this go unanswered, and with a smirk to my brother-in-law, we’re both ready to show our hand.

Matteo nods, and a sniper from the roof sends out a dummy shot. Suddenly, the exterior is lit up with gunfire. Four men come out of the woodwork, ducking from behind trees to come after us, but they aren’t aware that we use high-grade surveillance that the military has access to, and we drop them fast. Sanchez is gone fast, ditching his team before the second shot was fired because he’s a pussy, but he doesn’t know that there’s going to be an armed force ready to pick him up tonight in a fun little raid.

“Now, let’s get our women.”

Chapter Twelve

Patricia

“This is freaking nuts.” My head’s spinning from the rush of sneaking out. I’m excited to see what Gio’s going to do when he gets his hands on me. What is wrong with me?

“I know. I love it. You want to see what you mean to my brother, I’ll show you. Thanks for the ride, Sergei.” She winks at Morozov.

The big burly man shakes his head like he’s extremely disappointed in us. “You are going to be in big trouble when your husbands get their hands on you.”

“I know, and I can’t wait for it. That man is an animal, so if you’ll excuse us, my new sister needs clothes because she can’t keep borrowing mine,” Vivian says, smirking the entire time.

“I’ll be around.” He hops back in his SUV and pulls away, but we all know that he’ll be close by. We’re being watched, and that’s the plan. After Gio had left our bedroom, I spotted someone watching our bedroom from our window. It’s a man I recognized from my parents’ home, so I told Vivian. I thought she was going to tell the men, but she said we had to lead them away from the house, so it was shopping time.

“I’m sure you will.” We walk into a boutique, and Vivian says, “Stay close to me. I won’t let anything happen to you, but I will say this. You have to do as I tell you at all times.”

“Of course.” She’s quickly becoming my second favorite person in the family. Despite all the drama and grief I give Gio, I’m actually crazy about him.

“Goody.”

I hold out a blouse on a rack, loving the color, but in the back of my mind, I know we’re in a precarious situation. If my family was following Morozov, they could have seen us. “How long do we have until the guys find us?”

“They know where we are.” My mouth falls open. She moves around the displays as if she didn’t just drop a bombshell.

“Yeah?”

“Yes, I have multiple trackers on me.”

“Are you serious?” I can’t believe that, but then again, I’ve met her husband and he’s a bit protective.

“Very. Matteo worries about my safety, and I have a tendency to do these things often.”

“Oh.” These things? I’d ask more, but we’re in public.

“Well, I never expected to see you here.” Her voice sends a chill down my spine, and so does the cold steel at my side.
