My father grips my shoulder firmly. “We’ll get this cleaned up. Go take care of your wife and give her the love she needs. Besides, I know where there’s a good spot to make chum,” my father says.

“Thanks.” I tucked my gun away and left to spend the rest of my life showing my Cupcake she’s truly loved.

Ten years later

The finances are wonderful for the Conti Family as well as the Barone little clan. My lovely wife enters my office with a little extra waddle today, and I can’t even express how hard that makes me. If it’s from the way I drilled her on all fours this morning or the fact that she’s carrying our third child, I don’t know, but I could take her again this very instant.

We have two daughters, and this is our first son. All our kids are little angels in comparison to their cousins, which everyone expected given our temperaments. After our first rough patch, Cupcake and I rarely ever fight unless her ass is around my sister too long, and then they get crazy ideas and stupid shit ensues.

“Good afternoon, beautiful. How was your nap?”

“Good. It was pleasant. Although, I missed you. The girls are in school and we have a cook, so I didn’t have anything to do.”

“Please tell me you didn’t talk to my sister.”

“I didn’t. Relax.” She comes up behind me and massages my shoulders.

“I love you, Cupcake, but you two are going to send me into an early grave.”

“No, I think the shit you do with Matteo will.”

“Nonsense.” Since I married Patricia, protecting my family has become ten times stronger in me, and the urge to fight with more than my wits became essential. My brother and father are starting to look less and less like the dark and scary ones in the bunch of enforcers. Matteo is even intimidated by my sudden need to embrace the darker side of my roots.

“Now, you must relax, my love. I promise you, everything is good.” I bring her hand to my lips and kiss her palm. “How about we go and lie down together?”

“You know we’re not going to lie down,” she says, tilting her head.

“Well, one of us will be lying down, sort of, wink, wink.”

“You just want to get me in bed.”

“I’ll take you right here if you think I really need a bed.”

Knock, knock.

Damn it. “Enter.”

My housekeeper enters with passively, trepidation on her face. I’d feel bad if my dick wasn’t stiffer than my oak desk in front of. “Mr. Barone, your father and mother are here for lunch.”

“Oh, goodness, I’d forgotten,” I say.

Cupcake gasps, pressing a hand to her chest. I hadn’t really forgotten, but she always distracts me with her sexy self.

“It’s prepared and ready in the solarium,” our housekeeper added, easing Patricia’s concerns.

“Thank you, Maria.”

“You’re welcome.” She nods and exits.

“That was a close one.”

“Getting a bit forgetful in your old age,” she teases me.

“Nope, just get horny when I see you and everything else slips away. Now let’s get going before my mother comes hunting us down.” My father wouldn’t dare come looking for us just in case I had my wife naked. My mother would just tell me to cover up because she’d seen it all before. Mothers.

We met with my parents, who were so excited to see Patricia waddling in the last month of the pregnancy. They quickly give her hugs, forgetting I exist which I love because they’ve embraced her as my wife from the start even though she was from a rival family.
