“Somewhere private, a place where no one can interrupt our night.”

The traffic light he passed under highlighted the smirk on his face, as if he held a secret. I leaned forward in my seat, the nerves pushing me into a moment of anxiety. Only when he made another turn did I realize where he was going. The small marina where the boat was docked for the very private island where a lighthouse had been built in nineteen eighty-three. The facility was now used as a vacation rental.

“The lighthouse.” It was a beautiful location, although the rate was well above my pay grade. The location was by far one of the most picturesque places in the town, the views spectacular. The only way to get to it was by boat. I couldn’t think of a more fitting destination for a romantic getaway.

Or a location where bad things could happen.

“The lighthouse,” he repeated and pulled the SUV into a parking space.

I continued peering out the windshield, the claws of fear starting to suffocate me.

He cut the engine, yanking the keys from the ignition and opening the door.

“Let me guess. You’re the boat captain.”

“I am. You’ll learn I have many talents,” he said, chuckling darkly as if he had many secrets.

“Impressive. However, you need to know I’m a black belt in karate. I have other talents and strengths as well, some you might not like if you cross me.” As I unfastened my seatbelt, I slowly turned my gaze toward him. This time when he chuckled, it sent the kind of heat rushing into my system that ripped at the last of my resolve.

“I would expect nothing less from a beautiful and formidable woman. It’s time to fulfill all those dark fantasies you have tucked away in that beautiful head of yours.”

“You act as if you’re the only man capable of doing so.”

“That’s because I am.”

With that, he climbed out. And as fate would have it, and perhaps a further indulgence to insanity, I followed him.

CHAPTER 7

Sabrina

The dangerous man’s confidence and arrogance were repulsively enticing. I’d usually kicked men like him to the curb in a heartbeat, but I was so excited at the prospect of Diego’s promise that I couldn’t seem to think clearly.

There was no way to adequately describe the beautiful setting or the picturesque moon hovering over the water. While it was chilly outside, the light breeze picking up in intensity, I wasn’t cold. How could I be around such a powerful and dominating man? He exuded everything I should hate but right now was everything I needed. The boat ride to the island had taken mere minutes but I’d sensed his hunger was increasing, the tingling vibrations I’d felt before heightened.

He’d led me through the stunning location outside one of the many doors instead of taking me to a bedroom.

Now that we were standing on the deck, I could tell the game of seduction we’d been playing was over.

“It’s beautiful here,” I told him as he rolled his hands over my shoulders, brushing his fingers down my arms roughly.

As if I was truly his possession.

I licked my lips in anticipation as I stared up at the star-kissed sky.

“Yes, it is, but I couldn’t care less about the scenery.” He pressed his body against mine, his shaft even harder than before.

The feel of his hands as he gripped my hips, tugging me back several inches was terrifying because I’d so rarely allowed myself to let go.

It was also exciting.

Breathtaking.

His actions were a display of his power and dominance.

Yet he had no idea what I was capable of. I couldn’t believe I was thinking this way, as if I would turn around and arrest him. The thought brought a strange yet provocative smile to my face.

When he rubbed his cock back and forth across my bruised and aching bottom, I did everything in my power to keep from whimpering. Somewhere in my mind, I believed Diego didn’t yet deserve to know how aroused I’d become, my pussy clenching and releasing several times in some kind of sick anticipation.
