Stop gawking, you look stupid.

Except, I couldn’t. His chiseled abs bled into a pair of lines right at his hips that disappeared beneath the band of his sweatpants. His thickened length hung there, outlined for my eyes to behold. His broad shoulders were covered in toned muscles. The veins that bulged from his forearms twitched with every movement as he stood there, leaning against the threshold of the French double doors that led out onto the balcony that housed the most breathtaking view I’d ever beheld in my life.

Which came second only to the beauty of Dominik’s expertly-groomed body.

“Are you even listening to me right now?” Emily asked.

I closed my eyes and forced myself to turn away from the man. “I told you, I’m working. I can only focus so much.”

She scoffed. “Fine. More Chinese for me. Let me know when you have time for family again.”

And the second she hung up on me, Dominik’s voice bombarded my conscious mind.

“Five minutes.”

I tucked my phone back into my pocket and turned to face him. “What?”

He sipped his drink with a smirk on his face. “Five minutes.”

I shook my head. “Five minutes until what?”

Instead of answering me, though, all he did was thumb over his shoulder. A blue door came into view that I hadn’t seen before, and when I pulled out my phone to look at the time, I realized it was already 7:25. In the fucking evening. I pinched the bridge of my nose as his chuckle radiated around me, as if to tease me and taunt me about wasting my free time out there on the fucking balcony.

“Whatever,” I murmured as I rolled my eyes, “see you down there in a bit.”

I didn’t even hear him move. All I felt was the rushing of wind before he pinned me to the balcony railing. With my stomach pressing against the wood and his thickened dick growing against my ass cheeks, I braced myself as his hand buried into the tendrils of my hair.

And as he pulled my head back, his hot breath caressed the shell of my ear.

“You’d do well to keep that attitude in check, sweet girl.”

I rolled my eyes. “I’m too tired to fight you, so just do whatever you’re going to do and get it over with, please.”

And of course, my phone started rattling around in my pocket again.

“Pick it up,” he commanded.

I clicked my tongue. “You kind of have to back up.”

He growled as his nose slid against my cheek. “I don’t have to do shit. Pick up the fucking phone, or I’m going to do it for you.”

I knew he wasn’t kidding either, so I scrambled to get the phone to my ear. “Hello?”

Emily sighed. “I’m sorry for how I spoke earlier.”

Dominik kissed the nape of my neck and my knees almost caved. “It’s—it’s okay.”

“I’m just upset because it seems like everyone’s been too busy for me lately. I mean, even Jackson hasn’t been picking up my phone calls! I think I did something wrong.”

His teeth sank into my shoulder, and it took all I had to hold back my groan. “What—what happened? When did you last talk—with him?”

She paused. “Are you okay?”

I kicked my leg back, but he simply captured it between his own. “Yeah, I’m good. Just a bit tired.”

“You want me to call back tomorrow or something?”

Dominik shook his head as his fingertips teased the hem of my shirt. “No, I’m okay. I need to wake up and keep working anyway if I want to have any sort of holiday this year.”
