That same CEO that my sister was about to be pinning her career dreams on. He was a devilish, cocky man, anyone could see that, but I couldn’t help but be enthralled by his intriguing good looks and arrogant front. I knew it made a lot of women wet and now I was one of those women, sadly. Honestly, I prayed I’d have more strength than I did a few minutes ago, strength to resist imagining his blue eyes and muscled chest every time I was naked, but I had a strange feeling that anytime I touched myself from now on, Dominik Drake and his arrogant blue eyes would snake their way into my fantasies.

Bzz. Bzz. Bzz.

“Shit,” I hissed as I jerked awake, totally confused as to when I’d fallen asleep.

Bzz. Bzz. Bzz.

My fuzzy vision searched around for my phone resting somewhere atop the disheveled duvet. The setting sun outside froze my heart in place. When I finally found it, my sister’s name lit up on my phone screen once more, I groaned.

I picked up the call and drew in a deep breath, ready to start in on my apology.

Except, she beat me to the punch. “I’m so sorry, but I have to alter our plans this evening.”

I cleared my throat of its sleepy nature. “Everything okay?”

And that’s when I heard a knock at my door. “Surprise! I might have started cooking a little earlier than planned.”

“Oh, shit. Hold on,” I said breathlessly.

I dropped my cell and scrambled to get to my feet. Sleep stumbled me around, catching me against walls that I used to prop myself up. I hated naps. They always made me feel so gangly and disoriented. And the nap I just had—after my intense orgasm—had basically knocked me completely out.

“A little help?” my sister squeaked out as I grabbed the handle and undid the lock.

I ripped my door open and found stacks of covered dishes in her arms and at her feet.

“Jesus,” I murmured, “here, let me get these. You can get the ones off the floor.”

“I had to cook out my emotions, you know?”

I grunted as I hauled everything into my kitchen. “You don’t say.”

My sister kicked the door closed. “This is every appetizer, main course, and dessert I could think of to showcase my abilities. It might not look as pretty as it will on a plate, but right now it’s the taste that counts.”

I popped open the first one and the smell of butternut squash gazpacho wafted beneath my nostrils. “Oh, you have got to put this one on there. I haven’t even tasted it and it already smells divine.”

She giggled as she started pulling out utensils and plates from my cabinets. “I have small bottles of wine to accompany certain dishes as well. Let’s pop some open, yeah?”

“God I love you.” She says and I smiled as I grabbed the bottle and glasses for us.

“Love you too.”

“Soooo,” She says from behind me, dragging out the word much longer than necessary. “Did you get a chance to read that article I sent you earlier?”

Thank God my back was turned to her because my face immediately was flushed with heat and shame. The memory of how hard I came earlier made me embarrassed and flustered on the spot. I took a deep breath and poured our glasses, calming myself before turning around and handing her the glass as I sipped from mine.

“I did, yes.” I responded as she eyed me down.

“And…what did you think?”

That just the mere thought of the prick made me shoot off like a bottlerocket and see stars?

I shrugged, “I think he’s an arrogant bastard, just as I had suspected.” I sip more of my wine, making her chuckle as she finishes getting the food ready for tasting.

“That’s it?”

I shrugged, “That’s it.”
