Aiden gasped, pointing to the massive set of glass doors leading to the huge backyard. “Mommy. Mommy. Mommy. Look! A swing set.”

The one thing she’d mentioned was having a playset for Aiden and Xena so they could romp and play for hours.

“It’s amazing,” Rylee said, tears streaming past her eyelashes.

“Can I go see?” Aiden’s little voice was filled with happiness.

“Why doesn’t Auntie Erin take you outside?” Erin asked as she winked, immediately moving to grab the little boy’s hand. As she led him to the door, Rylee moved closer.

“I don’t know how to thank you,” she half whispered.

“I have a feeling we’ll think of something,” Jack growled as the three of us crowded closer.

“I just bet you will. Careful, boys. I just might bite.”

I glanced at Foxx and for the second time in less than a month, a single tear trickled down his face.

“I wouldn’t ask for it any other way,” I told her.

As the three of us wrapped our arms around her, I couldn’t help but wonder what the future would bring.

Somehow, I had a feeling whatever it was, the four of us, the four musketeers would handle it with love in our hearts, joy in our souls.

Love abounding.

And a ferocious need to live.

The End
