The fact he kept hold of my hand added to the crazed moment of electricity coursing through me. I dug my fingers into his hand, using his hold as a little Mexican standoff. I think I was using that term correctly. Not that it really mattered. I was incensed that I found the man so darn attractive.

But I couldn’t lie to myself.

“Then why don’t you give me the five second tour. Let’s start with your name.”

His deep, velvety voice had a mesmerizing effect, so much so even as I tried to look away, I found myself leaning in even more.

“Rylee. And that’s all you need to know other than I’m a blackbelt in karate and own a weapon.”

“Good to know. I appreciate that. Are you ready to enjoy the rest of your evening?”

He was so overconfident that I was sick to my stomach. That’s the moment I realized I was a silly girl for even considering walking out of this bar with three men I didn’t know, to do God knows what.

You know what they want. Don’t fool yourself.

Okay, so maybe I could easily see through their fancy charade, but so what? Maybe I wouldn’t mind feasting on not one but three sexy nuggets. No, that wasn’t me. I wasn’t a bad girl by any means. I’d never indulged in a one-night stand, especially with utter strangers. And three of them? My knees were shaking at the thought. But my mind was mulling over the juicy possibilities.

“Sure. As long as you allow me to freshen up a little bit. A girl does like to look nice for her sexy men.”

I knew Fallon was standing right behind me. We’d used a code since we’d been kids, ready to get out of any situation by using the phrase with each other.

Foxx took another deep breath then nodded, finally letting go of my hand. “We’ll be waiting right here for you.”

“Incidentally, what are you boys in town for?” I asked as I rose to my feet.

“Work.”

“Ah. Fascinating.” I blew him a kiss like I’d done before, casually and very slowly walking toward the back, grabbing my purse as if I didn’t have a care or worry in the world.

Fallon followed, following the rules of not looking back in hopes of keeping the men in the dark. Only once when we were down the dark hallway did she snicker a little.

“You’re so bad. You led them on,” she whispered.

“You told me to.”

“I did no such thing,” she said then giggled like we used to in school. “Okay, maybe I did. But you’re not really going to take my suggestion. Are you?”

Her expression was now sheepish.

I allowed her to think I was for a few seconds until she slapped me on the arm.

“Nah. Even though the thought is deliriously delicious, I’m not that kind of girl. But I had to admit, it was fun teasing them.” Why did I continue to have filthy thoughts running through my mind?

Because you’re a very bad girl.

“You ready to get out of here?” Fallon asked, still shaking her head.

“I sure am.” We were both laughing as I pushed open the back door, closing it with a soft click behind us. It was a good thing I knew the bar inside and out. We linked arms as she headed to the side of the building toward my car. By the time they finally figured out we’d left, we’d be two miles down the road.

“They were hot though,” she mused. “Smokin’, baby.”

“Yeah, they were.”

“I mean, I know you like big hunks of alpha males with big dicks but…”

“What? Who said I did?”

“You did the last time we sat and drank a bottle of tequila.” Fallon’s laughter was full of the usual teasing sound she offered me several times a week.
