Aramis is back and I’ve never wanted to disappear as much as I do now.
CHAPTER FORTY-SIX
Istand between the two hottest males I have ever seen and if I had the capability of dreaming, this would be everything I could’ve wished for. And then some. But I am not asleep and whenever situations like this happen in real life, it never ends well. Or at least, that’s what I read about in books.
“You okay?” Aramis asks, leaning close enough that his warm breath tickles my ear
“I’m fine,” I respond quickly, even though my pulse is all over the place. Guilt twists in my stomach. Isn’t he bothered by Conláed's proximity? I feel caught cheating, but when I glance up at Aramis, I don’t find anger on his face. Or resentment. Or jealousy.
His lips part faintly as his gaze flicks between me and Conláed before settling back on me again. There is some tightness in his jaw and a slight tension in his shoulder, barely noticeable.
Maybe he is jealous.
Just not possessive enough to make me feel guilty. Besides, this is normal fae behaviour. I shouldn’t be embarrassed about it.
Yet, I try to move, but as if they share the same brain, they step closer so I am pressed against Conláed's chest and Aramis places his hands on my hips. I feel his heart hammering against my back.
“Relax,” Aramis whispers, his voice like a purr curling around my ear. “And enjoy yourself.”
Is this really happening? Someone fucking pinch me.
The rational part of my brain tells me to pull away, to choose. But that part is quieting down with every passing second, so when I start to move, they move with me.
Where Aramis’ hands rest on my hips, Conláed starts to explore higher up my waist. I honestly can’t believe he’s doing so, but it only makes my hands eager to wander as well. Aramis’ body is a work of art, but Conláed’s even more muscled. I’ve seen it before, but being able to feel his abdomen makes my core melt.
The sparks around us intensify and Conláed brings his face down towards my throat, licking up its length. My hands dig in his soft curls, pulling him even closer, the stubble on his cheeks only adding more delicious friction.
More. I need more.
And as though Conláed can hear my thoughts, something sharp grazes the sensitive curve of my neck, not yet piercing the skin. A shiver ripples through me instantly, and I tip my head back against Aramis’ shoulder before I can stop myself, silently offering Conláed better access.
A tingling sensation spreads down my arms in a slow wave, and faint golden patterns flicker to life against my skin, winding carefully between the scars etched across my body.
Aramis chooses that exact moment to catch my earlobe gently between his teeth.
I am absolutely done for.
Aramis pulls me tight against him, feeling his erection only urges my movement, the feeling arousing me even more. Conláed lifts his head up, cupping my cheek with one of his big hands, tracing my lips with his thumb.
“You’re driving me insane,” he murmurs and I open my mouth, gently taking his thumb in my mouth, twisting my tongue around it and start sucking, just like I thought about doing once before.
He closes his eyes, tipping his head back just a little and the little muscle in his cheek flutters. The fact that he’s losing control over me drives me wild, and the way he’s staring at my lips, moving closer until there is only a hair’s breadth between us, I’m certain he will finally kiss me.
“I have to go, feather,” he whispers against my lips.
Oh, wow.
That cools down some of the heat rushing through me.
Aramis rest his chin on my head, clasping Conláed’s forearm in a way of saying goodbye.
The fact that you don’t see him in his fae form means something, feather, be careful.
“What do you mean?”
Conláed’s words confuse me. And his lips didn’t move which is just downright bizarre. He walks past Aramis and me and doesn’t look back, not that I was expecting him to.
The sparks have disappeared, but my skin still glows and when Aramis turns me around and kisses me, I’m molten lava in his hands. I stand on my tippytoes, tilting my head back and parting my lips for him.
