“One has a bullet hole in the shoulder, while the other has a mangled hand. Will be quite useless from now on.” Walking over to the counter, I drop my keys and phone after shutting the latter off, something she notices and raises a brow. “No interruptions until Monday morning after eleven. The meeting with Jameson was held today, instead, and the one with Benjamin from accounting needs to be pushed back until one.”

“Anything else, sir.”

“Is Magda here?”

She snorts, the sound so unattractive. “I already gave her a paid weekend off. Give me some credit here.”

“Then no. Not a damn thing other than you leaving.” Not until after I speak with London about moving in.

“I love you too, grouchy. Consider it done.” Picking up her coffee cup, she walks to the sink and leaves it inside. “I’m happy for you, cousin. Enjoy the time off and be good to her.”

“I will be.” Leaning back against the counter, I wipe a tired hand down my face. “We both can use some rest after I shower. Unfortunately, I’m wearing some of their sweat and blood. It was profuse.”

“Better than Michael who peed himself inside of Carmelo’s jeep. Idiot thought they were taking him out to kill him,” she says with a laugh, walking past me while her hand shoots out and connects with my arm. “Is Javi outside? Because I don’t feel like driving.”

“Brat.” It’s my mature reply before I pick her up and carry her toward the front door. A quick press of two fingers on the push release, a kick with my foot, and the door opens.

“Put me down, jerk! I’ll call aunt—”

“There you go.” Literally deposit her outside. “And to answer your earlier question, when isn’t Javier waiting for you?”

“Touché.” Her smile is beaming.

“Goodbye.”

“Be patient.”

“You have ten seconds to leave my property before I—”

“I got her, man. Go get some rest…it’s been a long morning.” Javier takes over and throws his personal headache over his shoulder. He strides off my front porch with her cursing our names while wearing a smirk—the woman is certifiable and I love her, but right now, I want everyone gone.

Slamming the door shut, I toe off my shoes and then slip the shirt over my head. My pants drop next, and I pick everything up while making my way upstairs and toward a special laundry chute. One that leads to a small incinerator inside my basement which deals with these kinds of messes.

The moment I open the small door behind a painting, everything whirls to life and heat sweeps across my face a minute later. Ten minutes and all is gone. Mere ashes that no one can decipher.

I am left in nothing but a pair of grey boxer briefs in the middle of the hallway when I close the latch and the machine turns off. My sole focus now is finding Twirl and wrapping myself around her. Enjoy every single second of peace we have together before I flip her world once again.

But first, I need a shower.

She’s the sweetest vision. Perfection in its purest form.

Twirl’s laying in the middle of my bed when I enter the room twenty minutes later fresh out of the shower. She’s cuddling my pillow, hair fanning out like a halo around her while a few drops of water roll down my chest from my still somewhat wet hair.

The towel in my hand doesn’t bother to stop a single one as I focus on her.

How soft she looks.

How warm she must be.

How perfect she’s going to feel against my body when I finally take her.

It’s been a long twenty-four hours, and while I’m bone-deep exhausted, my cock still throbs beneath my sweats at the sight of her. Find her utterly delicious while her plump lips part and she tightens her hold on the pillow, choking the fluffy material.

“Need Malcolm. Stay,” she sighs in her sleep, shifting her arm.

I’ve never wanted to be the victim of a headlock more in my life.

“How can she be so sinfully sweet?” I ask myself, shaking my head as I drop the towel and fully enter the room. The door closes behind me and I press a button beside it that darkens my windows another few shades.
