“Are you okay?” the man asked me.

“I’m fine, yes,” I said, my neck craning to look up at this man’s name tag. Gage. I wanted to put in a good word for him in case Hunter tried to get him fired. “Thank you for your help, Gage.”

“We want to make sure our guests feel safe,” he said. “I’m head of security, and if anyone bothers you while you’re here, do not hesitate to reach out to me or my team.”

I thanked him again, and he stood there for a moment or two longer. I could have stared into his eyes and gruff looking face all day. What was it about all the men who worked here being hot as hell, I wondered? Was that intentional? I was used to going to places where women were flaunted around as eye candy for the men, but it was rare to be somewhere with the reverse. Not that I was complaining.

I turned toward my cottage door. I was already impressed with the adorable exterior. It felt like a true cottage in the woods, like I was in a fairy tale.

As soon as I stepped inside, I let out an audible gasp.

I had seen photos online, but they did nothing to prepare me for the beauty laid out in front of me.

It was modern meeting rustic in surprising ways. It was clear that they took designing the rooms seriously, while not sacrificing comfort and modernity to play off their theme. The entrance led to a grand-carved wooden entryway.

I stepped into the main room, a cozy sitting area with a fireplace that appeared to be built into a tree. Large windows overlooked the private patio, with velvet forest green curtains complementing them. I was happy to see that I would be able to close off the outside world if I chose to. The patio was designed to look like a private garden and included a hot tub disguised as a small pond.

A winding wood staircase led up to a loft area, which overlooked the lower level. I climbed up to the bedroom and collapsed on the bed with a bout of giggles.

Sean wasn’t lying when he said the beds were comfortable. It felt like falling into a cloud. The duvet was fluffy and made from the softest cotton I had ever touched. The pillows were memory foam that seemed to meld perfectly around my head.

Wow.A girl could get used to a bed like this, I thought to myself. I may never want to leave.

From the brochure, I knew that the room, while rustic, had modern amenities. Wi-Fi, a little nook for my desk just off the living area, and a bathroom with both a bath and a shower that could fit seven full-grown men. I knew I’d check all that out later, but I had promised to call my best friend the moment I got checked in. She wanted to hear all about the place.

Rosie didn’t even let it ring through once before answering the call, squealing.

“Sooooo, how is it? Is it everything the website promises and more? Have you hooked up with anyone yet?”

Chuckling, I rolled over on the bed, facing the window which overlooked the trees outside. It really felt like I was alone, in my own little forest cottage. In the distance, I saw the waterfall that I’d heard earlier, and realized that was likely one of the pools. I couldn’t wait to check it out.

“Snow?”

“Mmm, sorry, I was enjoying the view,” I said.

“So it’s beautiful there, huh?”

“Unbelievably so,” I sighed, letting it all soak in.

“And the men…”

I snorted with laughter.Getting right down to the point, huh Rosie?

“So far, every single man who works here is drop-dead gorgeous. For instance, the doctor on staff looks like Chris Hemsworth—”

“There’s a doctor? And he looks like Thor?” Rosie was nearly screaming now.

“Yes, they really strive to take care of their guests.”

“Hopefully the Hemsworth clone takes care of you, if you catch my drift.”

I rolled my eyes. “I highly doubt I’m going to sleep with a member of the staff. They likely have rules about that sort of thing.”

“So you think they just work there, enjoying all the beautiful and sexy people, and never get tempted? Come on, Snow, they work there for a reason.”

“Mmm maybe. I did hit it off with the sexy French guy in the library...”

“Wait, what? A sexy French guy? Who loves books? I’m planning the wedding in my head already.”
