She started fidgeting with the blanket, hiding her face from them. “Thank you for staying with me.”

Silas laid his fingers under her chin and tilted her head up. “Take whatever you need from us, we’ll give it gladly.”

Her cheeks turned from a rose color to bright pink and her heart started racing within her chest. Her eyes suddenly filled with hunger, a hunger that had nothing to do with her stomach. Rayen’s cock turned hard as he watched her eyes slowly travel over Silas’s body. Silas grinned, his thumb dusting over her lips. Rayen knew if he touched her now, he probably wouldn’t be able to hold back.

When she realized what she was doing, she bit her lip and quickly climbed out of bed and retreated into her closet. Silas grinned as he stood up. For a split second, Rayen thought he would go after her, but he walked out the room with Amon by his side.

He waited for his erection to soften before getting up. Just as he wanted to walk out, she reappeared with a few articles of clothing in her hands. Still embarrassed, she looked at him.

“Can I use one of the cars today?”

“Of course, which one would you like?”

She shrugged her shoulders. “Your least favorite.”

He stepped closer, unable to resist her. Smiling down at her he took a strand of hair into his fingers and started twisting it. “The keys are hanging by the door. You can take whatever car you need.”

“Okay, I’m just visiting Evangeline.”

“You don’t need to tell us where you’re heading.”

“Silas seems like he would want to know those things.”

She was probably right. “He would but please don’t think you have to tell us. You’re not obligated to tell us anything.”

“I think it’s just courtesy to say where you’re going. It’s rude otherwise.”

“That’s true.”

He stepped back and she disappeared into the bathroom.

As a plan formulated in his head, he quickly changed clothes. He waited patiently in the kitchen for her and twenty minutes later she came in fully dressed. She was wearing high waisted jeans, sandals, and a white t-shirt. Her hair was pulled away from her face, falling down her back in a loose braid. As usual she wasn’t wearing makeup.

She grabbed a bowl and started to cut up some fruit like she’d done in L.A. just a few weeks ago. She looked much more rested than the day before. He hoped she would let them cuddle with her every night from now on. She sat at the table next to him and started eating her yogurt.

“May I meet your sister?”

She jerked her head up in surprise. “What?”

“I want to meet Evangeline.”

Her brows fused as she studied his face. It seemed as if no one had ever asked to meet her twin, which saddened him greatly.

“You want to meet her?”

That only confirmed his suspicion. “Of course, she is your twin after all.”

Her eyes turned sad, their brightness fading as she stared at him. “Do you remember what I told you about her?”

“I do.”

“You still want to meet her?”

“Yes.”

She stared at him for quite some time before she slowly nodded and turned back to her yogurt.

Silas sat down opposite of her. “Why do you go see her every weekend?”
