“You and Silas planned this, huh?” She seemed amused, her words playful rather than upset. “I wouldn’t even have much work if I didn’t go to the meetings anymore.”

“You can help me organize the other offices too. There is plenty of work to go around.”

With a content smile, she leaned her head back watching the cars drive by. Amon weaving his fingers with hers only intensified her satisfied aura. It was a quiet ride, although the silence wasn’t awkward like it used to be. They both simply enjoyed each other’s company.

Rayen and Silas were–as always–impatiently waiting for her. With the door wide open, they stood before the house staring down the driveway.

“And here I thought they had at least some kind of hobby,” she laughed. The color from her face slightly faded as she saw Silas’s grin deepen. “They can hear me, can’t they?”

Amon didn’t have to say anything. Silas’s slight nod confirmed her suspicion as he parked the car.

“Oh…” she gasped as realization hit her.

Silas opened the car door and picked her up so she could wrap her legs around his waist.

“We hear everything,” he groaned against her ear, his teeth scraping against her earlobe.

“Everything?” she whispered, as her face first turned pale, then a bright red.

Rayen stepped closer, kissing her cheek. “Everything, little bird.”

“Maybe we should’ve kept that a secret,” Silas laughed as he carried Gwendoline inside.

Her face was filled with pure terror as she likely relived the past few weeks with them and the newfound knowledge. “The night in L.A., you heard me, didn’t you?”

“You made me come without even touching me,” Silas admitted, while setting her on the countertop in the kitchen.

“We tried not to invade your privacy but we sometimes couldn’t help but hear you,” Amon quickly added, afraid this new information would ruin all they had achieved.

“I know… I just… I’m embarrassed.”

“No need to be,” Rayen soothed her, handing her a glass of water. “It’s still early. Would you like to have a snack now and cook dinner later?”

Relieved, she eagerly took the bait to change the topic. “Yes. Amon said he would help me with my drawings again.”

“Are you two drawing outside again?”

She turned her head to Amon. “Do we have to? It’s pretty hot today.”

“How about we set aside the drawing and do some painting. Maybe a brush is a better tool for you.”

Still slightly pale, but with a smile on her face, she slipped off the counter. “I’ll meet you in your room.”

As she walked up the stairs Rayen chuckled, “Now she’s going to be shy about everything she says to us.”

Silas’s eyes flickered red. “Even if she tried, she couldn’t lower her moans enough for us not to hear them.”

Though Amon didn’t say anything, he was glad Silas was right. He liked listening to Gwendoline’s lustful melodies. He hardened just by the memories of the past days. He hoped she would sing the same songs for him that she did when she was with them. Pushing those thoughts aside, he set up an empty canvas and paints for her to use.

“Where is your canvas?” Gwendoline asked as she stepped in. She’d changed into a loose shirt and leggings.

“I wasn’t sure if you wanted me to paint next to you.”

“I have to have at least something pretty to look at when I’m sick of my ugly creation.” Her eyes traveled over his body, turning slightly lustful. Her voice dropped to a whisper. “Never mind, I already have something to look at.”

Her words freed a sense of pride within him that he’d only felt with Marianna before. “Thank you.”

Stepping closer, she smiled up at him before staring at the empty canvas. “What do I do first?”
