Butthough he could drink liquids and eat food again—as long as he was holdingHanna’shand—there seemed to be a limit when it came to digestion.Whichwas to say, he never had to use the restroom, like a living person did.Instead, the food or drink he took in seemed to eventually just melt away.

Notbeing able to complete the digestive process didn’t seem to botherWraithmuch.Hewas simply happy to be able to taste things again.

Butthe thing he liked best to taste wasHannaherself.Allday long, the lust runes worked on her, causing her increasing sexual need.Bythe time evening came, she usually felt like she was so horny she was going to gocrazyif she didn’t get some help.

Thankfully,Wraithwas more than willing to offer that help.Hewas always willing and eager to taste her and make her come again and again with his tongue and fingers.

Sometimeshe even came with her to the ship’s library to study and—once she got seated at a table in the back of the library behind rows of digitally recorded books and reference materials—he would duck down between her legs and treat her to a leisurely tongue bath while she tried to hold back her moans.Needlessto say, she didn’t get a lot of studying done during these occasions butHannafelt deliciously daring letting her ghost warrior go down on her in public, knowing that no one could see him but her.

Herlife would have been completely perfect, she often thought, if onlyWraithwould consent to make love to her.Butthough he used his fingers and tongue on her nightly and even made use of the large,Kindred-sized toy thatHannahad bought from a novelty shop to fuck her long and hard, he refused to try andBondher to him.

“I’mafraidI’ddrag you into the realm of the dead with me,” he said, whenHanna—who had lost her fear of becoming a ghost—begged him to just try.

“Idon’t care!” she told him. “Please,Wraith—Ijust want to be with you.Whatdoes it matter if we’re both dead as long as we’re together?”

“Buthe shook his head, looking grave.

“No, little one.Youwould miss your mortal life. It’sterribly difficult not to be able to touch anything, not to be heard or seen by anyone.Iwon’t take that from you.Pleasedon’t ask me to.”

SoHannahad to be content with doing everythingbutBondingwith her ghost warrior.Theyspent hours every night enjoying and exploring each other’s bodies and it wasn’t justWraithwho enjoyed using his mouth.Hannaloved to suck his thick shaft and stroke theBondingKnotat its base until he groaned and came for her—shooting his seed down her throat.

Hannanever had trouble swallowing.Hisseed melted away like cotton candy in her mouth, leaving nothing but a faint, spicy taste behind that reminded her, oddly enough, of a pumpkin spice latte.

Novemberhad come to an end andDecemberwas halfway through whenWraithandHannawalked intoAuntLuna’ssuite and found her crying.UncleBruinwas sitting by her side with an arm around her shaking shoulders.

“Ohno—what’s wrong?”Hannaexclaimed.Immediatelyher mind went to the worst case scenario. “IsitSam?Didsomething happen to her?”Shehadn’t seen her older sister in months—not since right beforeHalloween—and she’d been trying not to bother her too often sinceSamanthawas basically on her honeymoon with theWulvenKindredwarrior she hadBondedwith.Thetwo sisters had talked over theThink-me several times, but they hadn’t communicated in a while.

Becauseyou’ve been too happy withWraithto remember to talk to your sister, whispered a guilty little voice in her head.Ifsomething happened toSam, it’s your fault,Hanna!Youshould have been talking to her more often, but no—you’ve been lost in your own little world…

ButAuntLunashook her head.

“No.It…it’s not,Samantha,” she said in a voice choked with sobs. “It’san old client of mine fromEarth—a dear friend.Somethingterrible has happened andIjust don’t know how to help.”

“Whatis it?Whathappened?”Hannaasked—immediately sympathetic. (Notto mention immensely relieved that whatever the trouble was, it didn’t involve her sister.)

“Oh, this client—Summeris her name—she came to me asking if she would ever be able to get pregnant,”AuntLunaexplained. “Thiswas some time ago—about five years,Iguess—right beforeImet yourUncle.”ShegaveBruina little smile through her tears and he squeezed her gently. “She’dbeen to so many doctors you know—she and her husband had gone through all the tests and none of them showed anything wrong.Theywere about to startIVFbut it’s so expensive and their insurance didn’t cover it—it was practically going to bankrupt them!”

“That’sterrible,”Hannasaid. “Didsomething happen to her?Imean, did she ever get pregnant?”

“Iread her cards and told her to try again on the next full moon,”AuntLunasaid. “AndIgave her a little fertility charm—nothing big, just a sachet of herbs blessed by theGoddessto bathe in under the moonlight before making love.Anyway, it worked like…well, like acharm.Shegot pregnant right away and they had a beautiful baby girl.”

“Wellthat’s wonderful,”Hannasaid andWraithnodded his agreement. “Sothen…why are you crying?”

“Summerjust called me on theThink-me,”AuntLunaexplained. “Somethingterrible has happened to her daughter—she named her after me.DidImention that?Itwas a lovely gesture.Anyway,LittleLuna, as they call her, is about four now and she somehow got into the neighbor’s backyard where they have a pool…”

“Oh,no!”Hannasaid with real horror.Thatwas definitely one of the dangers of living inFlorida—there were pools, ponds, and lakes everywhere—not to mention the ocean on three sides.Herparents had made sure that she andSamgot swimming lessons almost as soon as they could walk, to avoid this kind of tragedy.

“Isshe dead?”Wraithasked quietly andHannarepeated the question.

“That’sthe thing—she’s not. She’son life support but she’s hanging on—barely,”AuntLunasaid. “Ithink her spirit may be hovering around her body, unable to find its way back in.Butif the little girl’s spirit hovers too long without finding its way…”

“She’llmake her way to the afterlife,”Hannafinished for her.

“Inall probability, yes.”AuntLunanodded. “I’mgoing to go down toEarthto see if there’s any wayIcan help, butI’mafraidIwon’t be able to.Ihave only a tiny sliver of theGiftyou andSamhave, of seeing and speaking toLostSpirits.I’mafraidIwon’t be able to find the little girl and help her back into her body.”

“Whatabout callingSam?”Hannaasked at once.Hersister was so good at helpingLostSpiritsget where they needed to be, she had a wholeYouTubechannel devoted to it.

ButLunashook her head sadly.
