I nodded, not trusting myself to speak, and watched as she mingled through the crowd. I couldn’t take my eyes off her. If this was how drug addicts felt about their vices, then I was surprised that any of them ever managed to quit because this sensation was everything. I was so utterly intoxicated by her that I couldn’t imagine ever extracting myself.
Eventually, though, she vanished from sight, so I knew it was time to do my job. All the guys were going to want to know that Arya wanted to get us out of there. And not just because the night would likely end up in the bedroom, but because we might need to talk about what was next so we could be absolutely sure of what tomorrow would bring.

Urgh, I hated how I was wrapped up in self-doubt because I just couldn’t be certain. It was such a struggle. I quickly found Brock and Spike not too long afterward as well. They were just as keen as I was to leave this party and head home so we could spend time with Arya. I wasn’t the only one with the same addiction. We were all in this together.
That made the addiction so much more delicious.
Arya was practically on cloud nine as we left the party, and as I watched her walk back to our house, I realized just how much brighter she made Rockport. It was like she was always meant to be here. She lit up the town, and I didn’t think that Rockport would survive without her either. She was the sunshine that we didn’t even know we were missing out on.
We really did need her forever, didn’t we? I could only hope that we were enough of a pull to keep her around. Because life would be absolutely nothing without her…

It was weird, no doubt about it. The movie set was taken down, and this part ofRevivehad come to an end. Sure, I knew that we had the actual movie to watch and the premier to attend. It wasn’t the end of everything, but there was definitely a sense that this was the end of an era. There was a strange heaviness to my chest that I couldn’t quite shake off. It was weird, wasn’t it? This had been such a big part of our lives for what felt like forever, even if, in reality, it had only been a few months. Saying goodbye to the set ofRevivewas more challenging than any other job I’d ever worked on before. The impact of it would likely stick with me forever.
Sure, there was a scene on set, and Sarah had really been through some shit, but she seemed all okay now. She had a thick skin, thank goodness because it was likely that she would have to face this kind of shit a lot. Not just because she was a famous actress but because she was wolf royalty. But she handled Victor really well, and I was sure that she could handle anyone.
If not, I was sure we could look after her at any given moment. That was our job, after all, and none of us wanted to see anything bad happen to Sarah.
I sighed as I packed up the rest of the security equipment, ready to head back to our main HQ, wondering what was next for us. As far as I knew, Spike didn’t have anything lined up for us right away, which might lead to some time off. I didn’t normally like having time off, but this was different. This time, we weren’t going to be alone. This time, we were going to have Arya by our side, which was just mind-blowing.
Honestly, I had never really thought about falling in love before. I had been so career-focused that nothing else mattered. I had been involved in a few flings, some of them a little complicated and problematic, but none of them had ever captured my heart quite like Arya had. There was just something about her that I could not resist.
So much so that I was more than happy to enter into this reverse harem with all of my closest friends. Again, this was something I never thought that I would do, but Arya had changed a lot. She opened up my eyes to a brand new way of life, and I was so happy about that. I could use this time off of work to explore that relationship further, to see how far we could take this chemistry, to see how amazing this could be.
I let a soft smile playing on my lips as I realized just how much everything had shifted. We had gone onto the movie set ofRevive,not knowing that our lives were about to become something new. As far as I knew, none of the guys had been seriously considering settling down, but now there was nothing that would get in the way of our happy ever after. It was just going to be beautiful, wasn’t it? It was going to besomuch fun.
“Hey, you done here?” A sweet voice echoed through the hall, grabbing my attention. I couldn’t stop myself from grinning ear to ear as I met her eyes. “You look done, right?”
Arya was so freaking beautiful that I couldn’t stand it. I knew that I was the luckiest man in the world as I opened up my arms wide for her to come closer to me. She practically skipped into my arms, eager to hug me. I loved the sensation of her warm body up against mine, especially when I could hear the racing of her heart against her rib cage.
“I think I’m finished here,” I agreed. “I might just have another look around to make sure we haven’t left anything behind. But then I’m ready to leave. What about everyone else?”
She glanced up to look at me, fluttering her beautiful eyelashes at me. “You’re the last one here. Spike has gone back to the office to finish up the paperwork. Liam is with the lawyer, concluding business there. I think Brock is at the gym.”
“Oh, so it’s just me and you?” I cocked my eyebrow in surprise. “Well, that’s interesting…”
I leaned down and kissed her, my whole body set on fire as my lips brushed against hers. Sure, there was something intoxicating about all of us being together. I could definitely feel the excitement of us all being fated mates. It made everything intense and powerful. But I couldn’t get enough of Arya when it was just the two of us as well. Well, apparently, for your fated mates, it was an easy decision. She didn’t even seem to think about it. She was more than happy to put her heart on the line for all of us. Not that any of us would dare do anything to hurt her. I could tell that we all felt the same about Arya anyway, so there was nothing to be concerned about, but even if one of us acted out of character for even a moment, then the other three of us would step in and set things right.
It was the perfect scenario, really. That was what I loved best about it. Knowing that it was good for all of us.
Before I could quite wrap my head around what was happening, Arya stunned me to the core by dropping to her knees in front of me. With her eyes still fixed on mine and seduction written all over her face, she fiddled with my zip until my trousers fell away.
