She did have a point.

I’d been just as hot and bothered as she had.

“Please,” she replied desperately. “I need you inside of me.”

I grasped her by the hips and started to push once again, coming to a stop when her hand got in the way.

“You’re going to have to move your hand,” I teased.

She did, albeit reluctantly.

Grinning, I pulled her down onto me, one slow inch at a time, until I was buried to the hilt in her silken heat.

She gasped, her breaths sawing in and out of her lungs like she was in the middle of a marathon.

“Justice.” She gasped.

I lifted her up and then slammed her back down. Over and over again until I could feel her pussy rippling in impending release.

Knowing what would set her over the edge, and being caught between wanting it to last forever and giving her that push that she needed, I slowed my movements.

But she took the control right out of me when she leaned forward and bit me.

Hard.

I cursed and jumped, the motorcycle wobbling underneath of us.

“Fuck!” I cried out. Loving the pain and surprised that she’d done it all rolled into one final thrust on my end.

Why?

Because my control that I gloated about having shattered.

My cock pulsed, and suddenly, I was coming.

No warning. No nothing.

One second, I was holding onto it, contemplating teasing her, and the next I was shooting jets of cum deep inside of her. Filling her with me.

She cried out against my skin and started to pulse all around me. But I was too far into my orgasm to care.

Hours later, that were likely only seconds or minutes, I opened my eyes to see her staring at me with a look of love so deep that it hurt to see.

“I love you,” I repeated the words.

One day she’d say them back.

But for now, I’d settle for the looks.

Her eyes didn’t change as she leaned forward and pressed a kiss to my lips.

One lone kiss that said everything and nothing all at once.

Everything just felt so fuckin’ right.

I didn’t want it to be wrong.Chapter 20

Always be yourself unless you’re a Texan. Then always be a Texan.

Justice

The ‘right’ feeling didn’t last long once we woke up the next day.

The second body showed up on the police department’s front steps the second day that we returned to work after getting home from my parents’ place.

The third and fourth showed up while I was on shift at lunch the next two days. First at the restaurant that I’d gone to for a quick bite to eat. It was next to my bike which was beside the tree that I’d parked under to shade the cycle so it didn’t singe off my ass hairs when I sat on the leather.

The fourth followed the next day, almost identically to the third.

The fifth and final one showed up at The Judge’s place when The Judge called and said he’d had to run home for papers and had found it leaning up against his mailbox.

All of the bodies were pinned with the PD’s badges to their chest.

Which was why both Royal and I were in a meeting with both the assistant chief, the chief, and Yao.

Royal looked incredibly uncomfortable.

Though, I had a feeling that had a lot to do with the fact that there was an added face at the table.

Royal’s father, The Judge.

We were in an offensive meeting, one that would hopefully help catch the piece of shit that was leaving bodies in the city of Kilgore.

“You have to have something that he can be charged with,” the other person that was new to the team, the prosecutor for the county, Jegg Bridges, said. “You bring him in on bogus, trumped-up charges and I’m going to have to release him. I’m not bringing something to Judge St. James’ courtroom only to be laughed out of court.”

I agreed.

But we’d exhausted all the efforts that were available to us. And if we continued to get bodies, something drastic was going to need to be done.

Royal sank even lower into her seat, and I turned my gaze to the asshole that hadn’t stopped glaring at her since we arrived.

“This is your fault,” St. James said. “Your brother and I are in danger. We can’t go home…”

“Listen,” I snapped. “This has abso-fucking-lutely nothing to do with her. She was only defending her brother. Something in which…”

St James turned his head toward me. “If it weren’t for her, he wouldn’t have been on that street to begin with.”

I worked my jaw and debated whether or not to continue with my words, but then he said what he said next.

“Honestly, maybe you should let her go back to work with Stratton after all. Maybe then this’ll finally be over,” he said.

Royal paled, and I finally found out what it felt like to lose my shit.
