“Good morning Chewy. my favorite Ol Lady of all my brothers’ Ol Ladies,” I call out as I walk into the computer tech room the Com-Puta’s use. Remy rolls her eyes from her seat on Wire’s lap as the glow of their computer screen illuminates their faces.

“Have you ever thought about putting windows in here? Nitro grumbles, arms folded over his muscular chest. I let my eyes linger a little before focussing them on the back of Chewy’s head.

Her fingers fly over the keys on her extra clacky sounding keyboard. “You don’t have to butter me up, Fox. I already know I’m the favorite of everyone here. I was the first Ol Lady, remember?”

Nitro lets out a small huff, but she’s not wrong. Things changed once Chewy landed on the DRMC doorstep. She set off a domino effect on the brothers who have found women of their own. I glance at Nitro, taking in his strong profile, and I know if he opened himself up and let himself believe it, that we have found our woman too. Well, the woman I want to be ours.Whether or not she’ll agree is a different story. I fear she may take after her mother more than we think.

“Are you going to stand there staring at your boyfriend, or get to asking? I have things to do, you know. All sorts of things that need to fit into my tightly packed schedule to be efficient both as an MC member, a security business owner, and as the mother of a child who needs constant intellectual stimulation to grow her brain in the very best of ways.” She spins suddenly in her chair, legs folded up under her as her gaze hits just above my shoulder. “Why do you look different? All, happy or something.” She frowns.

“Ah…”

“Chewy, what can you tell us about the Dropmire bugs?”

She stares at Nitro, like really at Nitro then her gaze flickers to something on the wall. She does that thing where she strokes her imaginary beard and we all watch as if this is completely normal behaviour from a successful businesswoman. I guess in this case, it is.

“It’s classified,” she says spinning in her chair back to her screen.

“Then why did Moss find one in the locker room at the station?” I casually ask, leaning against the wall, crossing one foot over the other.

Chewy stiffens before spinning back to us. How she doesn’t get dizzy with how fast she flings that chair is a mystery. Her eyes narrow. “How did Moss know what it looked like? In fact, how did he know where to look in the first place?”

Nitro and I share a look. One we’ve shared numerous times in our military career together. “Are you saying Moss could be in on this?”

“What? No. Don’t be stupid. Wire and I cleared him ourselves. We’re not idiots,” Chewy says, looking at me like I’m the idiot.

“We did a deep dive into the whole family.” Wire adds, spinning to look at us as well, Remy gives us a little wave from his lap. “Moss does seem to have some, let’s say, interesting skills, but I think that has more to do with his family background than anything that could pose a danger to us.”

“What do you mean by ‘family background’?” Nitro mumbles.

“Did you never once question how Flora, lovely latino mom, could walk into the Rev Room, talk sweetly to a man and then stab him in the thigh?” Chewy asks, head tilted as if trying to figure out a mystery.

Now that she mentions it, I think we all just accepted that she’s a little unhinged. Nothing more, nothing less. When you look at the type of women my brothers have claimed, they’re all on the unhinged side. And shit, after seeing what Vi went through to protect the women and kids she was taken with, well, I figured that she must have gotten that fire from her mother.

“I guess, now that you mention it,” Nitro murmurs.

“Flora is from a long line of Autodefensas. They’re families who rose up to defend against cartels. In some places they run like mafia,” Remy explains. “I can’t find any evidence that Flora’s family are in a Mexican mafia of sorts, but the family are well known for their hard stance on criminal matters.”

“Huh.”

“So, Foxy Loxy, to answer your question, Moss isn’t involved. But he must have some good spidey senses to sniff out a Dropmire.” Chewy finishes. “Lemme guess, you want me to find out where it came from?”

I grin at her.“You know me so well.”

She squints at Nitro and me, before her eyes move to the large clock hanging on the wall. She uncrosses her legs and stands. “We got half an hour. Let’s go.”

“Whoa whoa, Chewy, slow down,” Nitro says, stepping into her path.

“What? I thought you wanted me to find out where the Dropmire came from?”

Nitro gives me a look, I know he wants me to deal with this. “Yeah, we do. But it’s in the men’s locker room so you can’t just walk in there.” I placate, hands up to stop her walking out the door.

She stops for a moment, hands on hips. “Well, that’s easy.” She turns toward the door. “Pops!” she yells at the top of her lungs.

As if waiting for his cue he pokes his head around the door, “You bellowed?”

“Got a mission for ya. Accompany Fox and Nitro to RGPD. There’s a bug they want you to take a look at.”

A predatory grin stretches across Pops’ face, growing wider when Nitro lets out a long groan that has my balls drawing up. Everything about that man is sexy, especially his moans and groans.
