I kiss her delicate nose and her wet hair.
“Come back to my hotel room. Stay with me tonight.” I’m already imagining all the things I want to do with Stella, all the ways I want to explore her body.
She smiles up at me and doesn’t hesitate for a moment. “Okay.”
She leans into me, and her wet hair falls on my chest. I sweep it out of the way with my fingers, wondering if one weekend with Stella will be enough.

STELLA
“Are you sure you want to stay in his room?” Cleo asks me for the tenth time.
I think about what we did under the tree this afternoon, and my body heats at the memory. I want more of that.
I’ve never felt so alive as when Will made love to me, if you can call what we did making love. It was more urgent than that. It was pure lust and desire, and I want to do it again.
I didn’t tell him that I’d never gone all the way with a man before. He might have stopped. He might have been gentler, and that’s not what I wanted.
“Definitely.” I can’t keep the smile off my face, and she smiles with me.
“Just be careful.” Charlie gurgles, and she jiggles him on her hip. “And use protection.”
Cleo always kept an eye on me in the foster home. She’s the closest thing to a sister I’ve ever had. We wereonly together for two years, and I missed her like crazy when she left.
Cleo was always the sensible one. She kept me in line and made me think twice about the consequences of my actions. I didn’t get into any trouble when she was around. But when she aged out of the system and left the Mackeys, I had no one to keep me in check.
I often wonder if the trouble that came after that would have happened if Cleo had still been around.
“I’m on the pill.”
“Good.” Charlie wails, and she furrows her brow and puts the back of her hand to his forehead. “And Kray has to meet him.”
I roll my eyes, even though I’m grateful that she’s being protective like a big sister. But I don’t want Will to have second thoughts.
I like talking to Will, and I definitely like what else we do together. But when Cleo gets determined about something, there’s no stopping her.
A few moments later, I knock on the door to room 102.
“Is this really necessary?”
Behind me stands not only Kray but Lyle and Jesse too, three of the biggest members of the Underground Crows MC. With their leather jackets and grim looks, I’ll be lucky if Will doesn’t run for the hills, especially with what he said this morning about not believing they’ve gone legit.
He pulls open the door and doesn’t even flinch when he sees the men standing behind me.
“Sorry,” I say as Will eyes the men. “They insisted on meeting you. This is Kray, Cleo’s husband.”
“Your brother-in-law.”
Kray doesn’t correct Will. We’re not blood related, but the MC is like a family, and since I’ve been staying with Cleo, they’ve taken me in as their own.
“Come in, gentlemen.”
Will steps back and opens the door wide. Relief sags my shoulders, and I turn to the Crows. “They don’t need to come in,” I say pointedly. “They just wanted to meet you.”
But Kray is already striding into the room. He eyes Will warily, and Jesse cracks his knuckles.
They’re doing the intimidating thing when I know they’re a bunch of softies underneath. I watched Kray change a diaper five minutes ago, and Lyle took his baby girl out for a walk this morning so his old lady could sleep in.
