“Man…” Finn dropped his voice and tossed a cursory glance at Molly. She leaned forward, she was invested in his explanation. Of course she was.
“You know I spent most of the period breaks on the shitter.” He ground the words out around clenched teeth.
“That’s where you were?”
Finn nodded. “Raging case of the shits, man.”
Will jumped away from him like he was toxic. “You too? How the hell did you play? Adult diapers?”
Finn smirked and folded his arms. “I’ll never tell.”
“Where the hell did you guys eat? I’m never going wherever it is. Dang. Kudos for playing with the scoots though, that takes guts.” He burst out laughing like he’d told the funniest joke in the universe. Molly rolled her eyes. Finn shrugged.
“Want me to walk you home before I hit the bar, Molly?”
Molly’s eyes widened.
“I got her. You can’t be late for your own celly, man. You earned it – go drink from the keg of glory. I heard someone mention they were doing body shots.”
Will smirked. Finn winced and rubbed his stomach, like the idea of consuming alcohol was enough to trigger his bowels into motion. “I need to go.”
Will shook his head. “I can’t believe you’re missing this, man.”
“We’ll have a do-over. Ain’t no way we can contain a title celebration to just one night. We aren’t amateurs.”
Will looked sufficiently satisfied by that explanation and backed away with a shrug. “Guess I’ll have to take one for the team.” He raised an eyebrow. “Or a couple.”
Molly scrunched up her face as she collected all the multicolored pieces of paper and tossed them in the trash just inside the locker room. “You’re all disgusting pigs.”
Finn grabbed her elbow and guided her toward the side exit of the building. “This disgusting pig is taking you home.”
She flashed him a small smile. “You can go out partying if you want, you know. I’m not going to stop you. Who am I to come between a man and some body shots?”
He walked her toward the wall, not stopping when her shoulder collided with a bump. “I need you to listen to me, and listen well so there’s no room for misunderstanding. The only body I want to lick in any way, shape, or form – from here forward – is yours. Are we clear?”
Her jaw dropped open, she checked over both shoulders, and shoved him away from her with a hiss. “You can’t say things like that to me here, Finnegan.”
Something flickered across her face, something wanton and wicked. He advanced again. “Why not?”
She pushed him back. “You know why, asshole.” She started toward the exit. “Let’s get out of here before you get us both arrested for indecent exposure. Or worse – killed by my brother when he finds you with your dick in me.”
Chapter 21
Molly
Molly’s hands trembled as she slid the key into the lock of her apartment. It was really happening. She swallowed, pausing to settle the sparring snakes in her stomach. Finn stood so close his breath tickled the hair on the back of her neck, and if she rocked back just a little, her ass would brush against his crotch.
There was no taking things back once they’d slept together. The toothpaste would be well and truly out of the tube once his dick crossed her threshold. She cringed. Too far, even for her.
“Are we just standing out here staring at your door all night?” He brushed his lips along the curve of her neck, sending pulses straight to her core. “I mean, I don’t mind banging you against the door, MoMo, but I’m still getting you naked.”
His dirty murmurs against her skin sent shivers through her body and out her fingers and toes, making her drop her key. She leaned her head back onto his shoulder and he ran his hands from her hips all the way up her torso, squeezing her tits, and nipping on her earlobe. Fuck. Finn O’Brien’s hands were on her body and she felt like a goddess.
“Open the door, Doll.”
She nodded, her chest rising and falling with tormented intakes of breath. How could she be so turned on? Her nerves so lit up with aching need when he had barely touched her?
Her hands shook as she bent, picked up the key, and opened the door. “Cl-Cleo? Are you here?”
