It just teaches you, even with your parents, they might not be perfect, but they can get better, so believing in them is as important as them believing in you.

I love Mason’s parents. Lynette was a stay-at-home mom until Mason and Michael were both up and out. She then took up mystery thriller writing and after a couple years, published her first book. Soon after that, her second, all on her own. After her fifth, she got an offer with a traditional publisher with a contract showing lots of zeros.

She turned it down. She liked her independence. Besides, she told us she was making more doing it on her own, so why be under the thumb of some publisher when she was doing fine on her own?

Mason’s dad is the best grandpa ever. He retired from his law practice a few years ago and he and Lynette are going to move to Cherry Falls with us next year.

It’s where our love story started, and we’ve vacationed and spent lots of weekends away there over the years. Mason bought the house in the mountains where we were first together. We renovated it and added on, but it’s so wonderful knowing we will be right where it all began.

I got an offer for my internship and residency at the big hospital close to Cherry Falls. It was my first choice and it was just another of the many big and little things that have fallen into place to make our lives so perfect.

A couple of years ago, I even saw Angela again and it wasn’t terrible. She got away from Greg after some sort of a court case, realized that he was no good for her and took a long look at her own life. She apologized for the way she treated me and I accepted the apology. Life’s too short for holding grudges.

Anyway, now that Mason is giving up his university career, we decided to settle back there, and Mason’s brother and his girlfriend are talking about following along too.

What fun will it be to have us all in the same little town? Making memories and messes together in the way life can be.

We’re going to slow down on the baby making until I am done with residency and interning. But, knowing us, I’ll be knocked up within the year. We still can’t get enough of each other.

Mason gets the kids settled in the car as everyone waves and nods, agreeing on meeting back at our place for a family dinner and party to continue my celebration.

Mason has continued with his investing and I don’t even pay attention to our finances. I’ve never had to. I know we are set for life. As well as our kids and anything our extended family and friends may need. He’s the best father, husband, friend, son and brother in so many ways.

And I’m the luckiest girl in the world because he’s all mine.

And I’m all his.

Always. Forever.
