She considered my question and I didn’t rush her. She needed to come to her answer on her own.

Finally, with more conviction than I expected, she straightened her back, tugged her shoulders square and nodded. “I do trust you. Foolish as that may be,” she added with a wry twist of her cherry pink lips.

“Good girl.” The words slid from my lips like warm honey as I sidestepped so I was standing behind her, pressing my chest to her back, leaning into her ear. “Do you know what it means to be a good girl?”

I listened to her breaths quicken, her shoulders tensing as I pressed my nose into her hair just above her ear, waiting.

“I think it just means a girl who does as she should. A girl who follows direction and is pleasing.”

“Ummm.” I hummed on a low rumble, my chest expanding with pride as though she was my very own, pleasing me so perfectly already. “Very good, Iris. That is what I believe is a good girl. A good girl for me, that is.”

A birdlike chirp escaped her throat as I tugged her hair down the center of her back, yielding her face upward enough that I could see her pupils dilate. As I counted a few more of the freckles on her nose. So far, I’d memorized sixty-four. Like constellations in the night sky, when I closed my eyes I could see them in my mind’s eye.

“That hurts,” she whispered, but she did nothing to pull away. It was a statement, not a request for action. At every juncture, every moment, when I pushed and doubt crept in, she stomped it away, proving to me in bits and increments, she was just as I’d hoped she would be.

“Shall I make it not hurt as much?” My breath burned as I held it in, my body quivering as I held back all the wondrous ruin I wanted to inflict upon her, but I knew it would take time.

“Yes, please.” Her voice was steady, her body utterly still as I lowered my lips to her exposed neck, brushing them just below her ear, listening to her hiss on an inhale as her hands darted backward, clutching at my belt as if without the handhold, she would fall.

In time, she would realize, I would never let her fall.

“Have you been kissed before, Iris? A man’s lips ever brushed upon your sweet flesh?” I drifted down her neck, leaving my lips in place for a long moment with each kiss.

“No. No one. Well, of course, maybe my father when I was a young child, but even that was so long ago, if it did happen, I have no memory.”

“Close your eyes.” I lifted my other hand, easing her eyelids closed with the pads of my fingers. “Just listen and feel.”

I tasted her flesh and the mixture of her sweet and savory flavor rushed through me like the waterfall on the east ridge, behind the Dhentries Mountains a place I took Xavier often to fly free and by his own accord, he always returned to roost on my arm.

I felt heat rise up from my toes, nearly sending me off balance as it raged through me, blasting an inferno of such possessive need I would defy any man to even look upon her again, lest I pluck his eyes from their sockets.

I made love to her neck with my lips. Up and down, hitting the spots again where she drew the sharper breaths, her fingers squeezing my belt harder then moving away as she silently begged with every ragged breath: More, Randal. Please, give me more.

My balls were disappearing inside my body from the tension. The swollen head of my cock dripping cum as my gut twisted, trying to hold back the tide of what was threatening to come.

I knew now wasn’t the time for me to take her. This was the beginning, she’d shown me her true nature and it was enough.

For now. I would live another day with the sweet taste of her skin on my lips.

I let her go, turning her as her eyes fluttered, unfocused, neck arched back, looking up at me. “You feel at peace, don’t you?”

She nodded, mouth in a little O shape, gazing up at me like I was the moon and stars themselves.

“That’s because I am showing you who you are, sweet Iris. I can see it in the blush on your cheeks, in the golden light shining from your eyes, in the flutter of your chest, the way your hands held onto me and the sway of your hips. I will bring it out of you. Bring it out of us. Just trust me.”

Another nod and she squeaked out some sort of agreement, but I knew it was time for me to go.
