“Then, do something about it. Go out and find someone else. Someone who keeps her crazy tucked in a little better.”

He snickers. “You’re one to talk. I saw your lady friend on the cover of People magazine on a yacht in Lake Como with a Spanish soccer player.”

That sounds like Tatiana.

“Yeah, well, unlike you, I did cut her loose, so she can do whatever she wants. Besides, we’re all better at analyzing someone else’s love life than we are our own.”

“Ain’t that the truth?” he agrees.

The girl at the bar finishes her paperwork and shakes the manager’s hand. Then, she turns to leave. As she passes by our table, she smiles at us, and Corbin’s gaze follows her until she exits the restaurant.

Maybe there’s hope for him after all.
