Chapter Twenty-Two

Graham relaxed a bit when the door closed behind Faith. He just wanted her as far away as possible while his family dealt with the garbage. It wasn’t a minute before there was a knock on the door, and Legacy walked in, followed by her men.

Lorenzo and Rizzo turned.

“Who the hell are you?” Lorenzo asked.

Graham could tell neither man knew who she was yet.

She ignored them and walked to Angus, bent, and kissed his cheek.

“Everything is ready for you, dear,” Angus said.

Graham saw her smile down at his father and whispered so the two men couldn’t hear.

“Thank you. Taking two more monsters off the street is a good day for us.”

“Who is she?” Lorenzo yelled.

Legacy turned to the men and set her hands on her hips. “Hello, gentlemen. My name is Legacy—”

“No!” Rizzo said and tried to run from the room but was immediately knocked back.

“What’s going on?” Lorenzo said.

Graham almost smiled at the tension that darkened the man’s eyes.

Rizzo moved back and pressed himself against the wall. “She’s some kind of avenging angel or some shit.”

“What the fuck does that mean?”

“She takes men she considers monsters off the street. I’m not sure what she does with them, but I’ve heard she likes to play before she kills them.”

“Now wait a damn minute,” Lorenzo said.

“No. Lorenzo, you and Rizzo have hurt so many women, and I’m ashamed to say I should have taken care of you years ago,” Angus said.

Both men were agitated and trying to look for a way out.

Legacy pulled a stun gun from her pocket, walked up to Rizzo, and zapped him with enough to make him collapse.

Graham saw Lorenzo stare down at him in shock before Legacy got him. Once both men were down, her men duct-taped their legs, arms, and mouths before rolling them up in a canvas blanket.

Three of the men left, and one stayed back with Legacy.

She hugged his father again. “You stay safe, my friend.”

“You, too. By the way, I’ve called one of my contacts at the FBI. I’m going to have every paper and computer in Rizzo’s house taken to them so they can hopefully find some of the human-trafficking victims and monsters.”

“That’s great.”

“I’m also transferring all the money he has into a bank account in Jamaica with your name. From what I understand, it’s tens of millions of dollars.”

Legacy looked shocked. “You don’t have to do that, Angus.”

“I do. You deserve that and more for everything you and your men do.”

She hugged him again, turned, and walked out of the room, followed by her guy.

Graham heard several car doors slam and then them driving off.

The room was quiet.

“Holy shit,” Graham said.

Angus chuckled. “You’ll never see those men again. Your and Blake’s women will be glad for that. The sister and the mother will be brought over tomorrow. They are in a hotel under guard at the moment.”

“Faith will be thrilled.”

“Dad, can you tell us why she does this?” Alastair asked.

“If I tell you, you can never tell anyone else. I won’t tell you everything but enough to make you understand. I had a meeting with a man, and I heard her crying in a locked room as I passed it. I broke in to find her tortured within an inch of her life. I’m still shocked she was able to survive that.”
