“Jack,” Jason cut in firmly, offering his hand to Humphrey. “Jack Danto.” He twinkled at Alex, who looked a little confused but thankfully didn’t say a word. “What a lovely home you have, Mr. Humphrey!” He giggled inanely.
“It’s so nice of you to join us tonight, Jack,” Humphrey said. “Alex, you remember Shep? Jack, this is my good friend, Shep.”
“Delighted to meet you, Jack,” Shepherd Durrand said.
