“What about you?” he asked me.

I shrugged and grabbed my cup of coffee. “A whole lot of nothing. Torment Luna?”

“That sounds like a good plan,” Meg agreed. “I know Cyn, Marley, and your mom are going to come over later. Probably around lunchtime.”

“None of the guys?” Reva asked. “I’ve got Mouse on my tail. Hero said I need someone watching me.”

“Oh, I’m sure one of the guys will be tagging along. Just like I’m sure there is a guy outside keeping an eye on Luna who is keeping an eye on us.” Meg grabbed a plate from the cupboard and slapped a tortilla on it.

Meg was probably right.

“So everyone is watching everyone,” Reva laughed.

That about summed it up.

Meg finished making Bear his eggs and dumped them on the tortilla. “You like salsa?” she asked.

“The spicier, the better,” he grunted.

Meg dumped two spoonsful of salsa on the eggs and then wrapped up the tortilla. “Eat that and then go catch this psycho, yeah?”

Bear grabbed the plate and chuckled. “Yes, ma’am.”

Meg worked on Reva’s breakfast and then started washing the dishes.

“How does she make a simple egg sandwich taste so good?” Reva moaned after her first bite.

I shrugged and finished my coffee. “No clue, but I’m not complaining.”

“I got a stop I need to make before I get to the clubhouse.” Bear grabbed the large burrito and set the plate down. “I’ll check in with you later, Greta.”

I nodded and held up my empty cup. “Safe travels, lumberjack. Try not to get burrito on your shirt.”

He chuckled and shook his head. “Later, mama.” He scratched Boomer’s head and then headed out the back door. I listened to the garage door open and then close.

Meg slowly turned from the sink and grabbed the dishtowel.

Reva cleared her throat and leaned toward me. “Mama?” she whispered.

I rolled my eyes and reached down to pat Boomer’s head.

“I am a woman who has her own hot and sexy biker at home, and that lumberjack just managed to curl my toes with one word.” Meg lowered her voice and fanned her face. “Mama,” she whispered. She pulled out her phone and quickly tapped out a message.

“What are you doing?” Reva asked.

Meg stared at her phone and bit her bottom lip. “I just called Lo daddy. I’m waiting to see what his reply is.”

“Oh, God!” I groaned. I put my hands over my ears and shook my head. “I do not want to know what he says.”

Reva jumped up and raced over to Meg. “I want to know what he says. I’m gonna try the same thing with Hero if this turns out good.”

Meg and Reva both held their breath as they waited for a reply.

“You’re both twisted,” I laughed. I grabbed my empty plate and cup and took them to the sink.

“Oh, my God!” Meg screamed when her phone dinged. She jumped and tossed the phone in the air. Reva snatched it out of the air and scrambled to give it back to Meg.

I dropped my dishes into the sink and turned to lean against the counter.

“What in the hell is going on in here?” Luna demanded. She walked back into the house and locked the door behind her. “I could hear you two squealing from my car.”

“Done throwing a temper tantrum?” I laughed.

Luna flipped me off. “Done being jerks to me?”

I shrugged. “Probably not. It’s what we do.”

“What are they doing?” Luna asked.

“Meg called King daddy, and now, they’re waiting to see what he says.”

Luna wrinkled her nose. “I don’t even want to know.”

“Wolf called Greta mama, and now Meg wants King to call her mama,” Reva explained.

“I should have stayed in my car,” Luna drawled. “Meg and King are like my mom and dad.”

“Same,” I muttered.

Meg curled her lips and dropped her phone to her side.

“Well?” I laughed.

Reva cleared her throat and ran her fingers through her hair.

“He asked me if I was drinking,” Meg pouted.

“Did you just text him the word daddy?” Luna asked.

Meg shook her head. “I asked him what he was up to and then added daddy at the end.”

Luna gagged and shook her head. “Good God. I can’t. Please don’t ever tell me that story again.”

“Maybe it’s better when you say it in person?” Reva suggested. She sat back down and finished her egg sandwich. “You know like it needs to be a spur of the moment thing.”

Meg shoved her phone in her pocket and turned back to the dishes. “I told him to suck it.”

Luna snorted, and I smirked. “Now that’ll really confuse him.”

“Keep him on his toes,” Meg mumbled.

“So, what are we doing today?” Luna asked. The past ten minutes of us harassing her about being a traitor were forgotten, and Luna was back to being one of the girls. For now.

“Not a damn thing,” I laughed. “I legit want to sit in front of the TV while Meg cooks and bakes for me all day.”

“Very different from when Luna was almost kidnapped,” Reva giggled. “I frankly remember you two taking off with an angry Bear chasing you.”

I rolled my eyes. “Yeah, well, I think I’m entitled to a couple of days of being lazy before we head out on the hunt for Dr. Douche.” I fully intended to be out there looking for him, but I needed my butt and stomach to heal a little before I would be out on the hunt. Hell, we were going to have to outsmart the club, too, so I needed to be in better shape than I was.

“Thank God,” Luna sighed. “I thought for sure you were going to make me sit in this house while the rest of the guys were out looking for Dr. Douche.”

I shook my head. “One day, and then, I’m back in action.”

“I’m holding you to that,” Luna vowed.

I held up my hand. “Scout’s promise.”

“Then let’s be lazy,” Luna drawled.

Today was going to kill her, but I needed it.

We could catch the bad guy tomorrow.
