Chapter30

My angel was a killer, and I had never been more in love. The second she stabbed that guard in the side, Raphael’s men snapped into action. They’d gotten the assignment and nailed each of the men around her in the head, taking them out of the equation.

Which left Vasiliev to me. I could tell him what happened to men who threatened those I loved. I could tell him what happened to cockroaches who invaded my city. But all I could see was my Daisy, and right now, she was scared and in pain.

With one bullet, Vasiliev wasn’t a problem any longer. Raphael’s men started to close in and finished the job. My alliance with him had been sealed in blood. Raphael would never know that I would’ve given him a much bigger percentage of the profits if he’d asked.

Daisy was worth everything.

When I reached her, she collapsed into my arms. I cradled her as gently as possible, not that she seemed to care, since she gripped me so tightly that I could feel my own ribs cracking.

“I stabbed a guy,” she breathed into my ear.

“You did amazing.” I ducked my head into her neck, savoring her scent that I almost lost forever. I was never letting her out of my sight again.

“Does this mean I’m not your angel anymore?”

I chuckled and pulled back. “Oh, sweet. Now you can be a fallen angel with me.”

She swallowed as her blue eyes turned serious. “I think being with you is exactly where I want to be.”

I pressed a kiss to her forehead. “I love you, Angel.”

She pressed further into me. “I love you back, Crazy Man.”
