His cheeks flush and my heart flutters. “Was I too rough with you?” He asks quickly. “Did I hurt you at all?”

I shake my head. “No. But even if you did, I wouldn’t mind. I like when you lose control.”

His blush grows deeper, and he gives me a shy smile, showing off his dazzling white teeth.

“What did I do to deserve you?”

It’s a sweet sentiment, but guilt stabs at me. I’ve been cruel to him.

I put him in an impossible decision when I begged him to take me away.

And…

“Does it bother you that I was with Killian?” I whisper, and he frowns at my question.

“Absolutely not,” he says. “I can sense your guilt. It dampens your scent, beautiful. You never have to feel sorry for that. In fact…” His voice tapers off and he bites his lip.

“In fact, what?” I ask, as he turns his head away from me.

“I thought we could share you.”

His words stun me. How is it possible we were thinking the same thing?

“You don’t have to, of course,” he adds, embarrassed. “I know it’s not common, but packs exist. Or they did, at least. We could protect you, Olive. We all care for you so much.”

Then he turns back to me. “And we all want you.”

My breath hitches, and my heart pounds in my chest.

“Not your brother,” I say in a shaky voice, desperate to lighten the mood. “All he does is growl at me.”

The corners of his eyes crinkle. “That’s all he does toanyone,” he chuckles. “No, sweetheart. He adores you. I know him. He’s grumpy and moody as fuck, but he lights up around you. Well, as much as someone like Brockcanlight up.”

“If you say so,” I sigh, curling up next to him. He kisses the top of my head, and I close my eyes, allowing myself to drown in his scent.

I’ve barely known him more than a week, and Dylan is already carving a place in my heart.

Just like Killian.

I’m losing the war I’m waging with myself.

Maybe it makes sense to stay here with them.

It could work.

“Will you stay the night?” I ask him, murmuring into his chest.

“Of course. Any night.”

I crawl up to kiss him, savoring the taste of his lips. He smiles against the kiss.

“Goodnight, Dylan.”
