The spa is quiet when we enter. Light piano music plays in the background. Mikah steps forward and speaks in hushed tones to the woman behind the desk. I look around at how luxurious everything is here. After a few minutes Mikah takes my hand and we are led to the changing rooms. We slip out of our clothes and into the plush robes given to us. I could get used to all this pampering. We are led into a quiet room where we wait for the masseuses. Mikah and I lay down on our tables. We smile at each other.
In hushed voices the masseuses enter and explain to us everything. Once the massage begins I can feel my stress and tension melt away. I'm so relaxed I almost fall asleep on the table. Afterwards we are led to another room with several large steaming stubs. We remove our robes and sit side by side in the water. "This is even better than the massage." I mutter as I soak. Mikah chuckles quietly. We are there for a while. After so much quiet and relaxation, we are calm as we leave the spa. We hold hands and head back upstairs to our room.
Mikah lays flat on the bed with a sigh of contentment. "Might as well take advantage of the few hours we have left." He replies. He closes his eyes. He is right. Soon we have to get back to our son.
