“I’ll show them in,” she winks as the doctor comes in and rubs the jelly on my flat belly.
Trent and Owen come in the door, both with surprise written across their faces. “The doctor waves them both in and he moves the wand around. “Oh, my!” he exclaims.
“What?” we all three ask in unison.
“It appears there isn’t one, but two babies tucked inside of you! Congratulations to all of you!”
Smiling great big smiles, both guys turn to me. Trent is the first to speak as his eyes brim with tears. “Best. Gift. Ever.”
Owen is already bawling and can barely get the words out of his mouth, but he manages. “Now, we,” he motions between the three of us, “Have someone to pass the ranch onto.”
“More like a couple of someones,” I say, happier than ever.
And so it goes, life passing through to another life beyond.
Living and loving is definitely where it’s at.
