Page 39 of Buying Her Flower

As much as I am growing to love the big city, I’m still a small town girl at heart. That’s why we agreed to have the wedding here. Not only is it more convenient for everyone, but also for sentimental reasons.

This is the town where we met and fell in love. After fixing my gown and hair I’m putting the final touches on my makeup. Tammy is asking me questions about California. I’m telling her about all of the places that Andrew took me to on our trip. She’s telling me about some of the things that have been going on in her life while I have been away.

“Sheila?” A voice calls out in the empty bathroom.

Tammy and I turn to see my old boss Marsha.

“Oh, I’m so glad you could make it.” I say.

Marsha walks over and hugs me. I really am happy to see her.

“You look gorgeous!” she tells me.

I smile and thank her.

“I won’t take up too much of your time. I just wanted to congratulate you and tell you how proud I am of what you have done with the shop,” she says.

“Oh, thank you. I couldn’t have accomplished it without you selling it to me first,” I reply.

She smiles at me before saying, “I also wanted to tell you how happy I am that you finally found love. I always knew that you would no matter how much you protested against it.”

We all have to laugh at that because it’s true.

“Well, thank you, Marsha. That means a lot,” I reply.

She hugs me and congratulates me again before leaving. Tammy and I spend a few more minutes talking and laughing.

We realize it’s time to start the ceremony. Tammy hurries out to take her place. I’m alone for a few minutes. This gives me time to think about a lot of things. How quickly my life has changed and how I have changed as a person.

Opening my heart to love helped me become a different perhaps better person. I’m actually able to enjoy life now. As I walk down the aisle to Andrew, I realize that I can’t wait to start our life together.

We are both trying to hold in our emotions as we say our vows together. Everyone hugs and congratulates us after the ceremony. Tammy, Marsha and her husband; even Brian and James are there.

Since we had an engagement party and a grand opening party for my business, we decided not to have a reception. Andrew and I are going straight from the ceremony to our honeymoon. I can’t wait!

We are taking Andrews private jet to a Caribbean island that Marsha told us about. She and her husband found it in their travels. It’s supposed to be a very romantic place.

“You know something?” I say to Andrew during the flight.

“What’s that?” he asks, looking up from the book he was reading.

“The circumstances in which we met were pretty crazy,” I say.

He laughs.

“Yeah, there’s no denying that,” he agrees.

“We worked through that and now we have true happiness, though,” I reply.

He reaches over and holds my hand.

“I feel the same way,” he says.

I sleep and stare out the window occasionally while Andrew reads for the rest of the flight. My excitement grows as we land at the tiny airport on the island. I can’t wait to get out by the water and soak up the warm sun. After we check into the hotel on the island, I hurry to change into my bathing suit.

Andrew and I make love over and over again on the beach. It’s incredible! I feel like I can never get enough of having him inside of me. We also sip drinks and lounge in the sun.

This place feels like paradise. No one bothers us as I beg him to make love to me once more. He takes it a step further by eating me out as well. Afterwards, I go down on him. I love the way he moans whenever I do that.

Towards the late afternoon, we walk around and see what else the island has to offer. We spend a little time swimming and splashing in the ocean pausing to make love in the waves. It feels so romantic just like a scene from a movie.

In the evening, Andrew changes into a shirt and slacks. I put on a new sun dress I bought just for this trip. I can tell that Andrew likes it when I wear dresses. We share a romantic dinner followed by drinks and a little dancing to the local island music.

Afterwards I comment “how beautiful the moon looks shining on the water.” We enjoy a barefoot stroll along the beach holding hands. During our walk Andrew stops.

“What’s wrong?” I ask him, a little worried.

He turns and pulls me into his arms and kisses me. I’m shocked because this kiss is different. I can feel all his love and passion. It’s not about sex or lust. It’s a kiss filled with happiness and hope. I kiss him back and we continue holding hands and walking. Not talking, just happy to be with each other. Our love unspoken but felt between us.
