Chase nodded.

“We’re close,” Gavin said. He saw Manny pull up and block Weber’s car, and Chase pulled in and stopped inches from the bumper.

They both sprang out.

“I’ll deal with the driver,” Manny said.

“Let him walk away. If the Maclean wants to deal with him later, they’ll have to find him.”

There was a quick scuffle as Manny pulled the guy from the car before the man ran away.

“Chase, use your car to get her out of here. Manny will stay in his and take this one after I’ve tied him up.”

“I’ll text you with the meeting place. Do you want me there?” Chase asked.

“No, I’d rather have you with Alexa. I’ll have Manny with me.”

Chase nodded. “Call if you change your mind, I can always call a few of the guys in.”

“Maclean has no beef with me, so I’m not worried.”

Gavin opened the back door and slid in. When he saw the fear on his girl’s face, he wanted to wrap his hands around the bastard’s neck. He held her for a moment but kept his eyes on Weber, liking the look of apprehension on the fucker’s face. He was going to love the fear and panic he’d feel when he found out they’d brought Maclean into it.

“Oh, my God, Daddy,” she cried out.

“It’s going to be fine, baby. You’re going to go with Chase so I can have a talk with Weber.”

“But—” Alexa said.

“Go,” he said to Chase, handed Alexa over to him, and then closed the door. He relaxed back against the cushion across from the man.

“What did I tell you I would do if you touched her again?”

Weber rolled his eyes and tried to look cocky. “I didn’t do anything to the little woman.”

“You were going to, though, right?”

“No. Absolutely not,” Weber said.

“Really, you weren’t going to rape and then kill her?”

The man stuttered, “No. We were just talking.”

Gavin’s teeth snapped together. He didn’t have a lot of time because he didn’t want to get a bunch of attention. Moving quickly, he took Weber from the seat and slammed him down on the car’s floor, raining punches all over the guy until he was bleeding and unconscious.

It took all his strength not to finish him off, but he was looking forward to the terror that would show on the man’s face when Maclean listened to the tape.

He ripped a blanket he found up into strips and tied Weber’s hand behind his back. Then he tied his feet together before getting out of the back.

“Follow me, Manny. We’ll wait behind a warehouse I know until Chase texts with the time and place. Are you sure you are good with coming with me? I’d understand…”

“Sir, I’m coming with you. It will be nice to have someone at your back.”

“I’ll take you at my back any day.”

“Thank you, sir.”

Gavin drove to a warehouse the company had bought but never used yet, pulled the cars inside, and waited.
