He stands in the guest room doorway and beams at me. “You’re doing a wonderful thing, Yara.”
I take a deep breath and smile at him. “I think my father would be happy.”
“Speaking on behalf of fathers everywhere,” he says, “Iknowhe would be.”
Remembering the print-out I’m holding in my hand, I hold it up for his inspection. “What do you think?”
He stares at it as he approaches me, taking it from my hands to give it a thorough examination. His eyes are bright and sparkling when he smiles at me, pulling me against his chest for a kiss and hug.
“It’s amazing and perfect,” he tells me. “Just like you.”
In addition to growing CMM into a larger and broader provider of medical services, I’m starting a new foundation to bring educational supplies and services to the schools of the Amazon.
