“You’re so incredibly tempting, Jess.” His hands found the bottom of the fabric and he slid it higher over her thighs. “Can I have you?”

Right now? Right here? With her friends waiting for her?

His mouth found her neck and her entire body craved him as he placed a trail of kisses from her earlobe to her collarbone.

“What do you say, Jess? You don’t even have to get undressed,” he whispered in her ear.

Her body was practically vibrating as she nodded quickly. “Yes. I want you.” Understatement. She needed him. “We have to be fast.” Which only added to the insanely intoxicating moment.

“No problem,” he said. Lifting her legs and wrapping them around his body, he pinned her to the wall. He lifted her dress up around her waist and let his towel drop to the floor. Grabbing a condom from the dresser, he quickly tore the wrapper and put it on, then he moved her underwear to the side.

“Ready?” he asked, his gaze burning into hers with a desperate intensity unlike ever before.

She nodded, not trusting her voice to speak.

He entered her fast, plunging deep inside her ready, wet body and there was no muffling the scream that escaped her lips. Immediately Mitch’s mouth covered hers again as he moved his hips frantically, plunging in and out of her body fast, desperate.

She clung to his shoulders as she rode his cock up and down, her back sliding against the wall, feeling the sensations growing stronger. She could barely breathe as she hung onto him tight and they fucked against the wall. His hips slamming into hers and his chest pressed against her body had all her wildest fantasies coming true. No man had ever wanted her this badly before. No one had taken her right there on the spot because they couldn’t wait a second longer. Mitch’s craving for her rivaled hers for him. A long-distance relationship would never be enough with this kind of chemistry between them. Skype sex or phone sex would pale in comparison to the real thing.

“I want to come together,” he said, breaking contact with her mouth.

Holy shit. He’d better be close, then. She nodded and his gaze locked and held with hers as he thrust in and out a few more times. “Jess…”

“Yes, I’m right there with you,” she said breathlessly.

“Look at me,” he said when her eyes closed.

She opened them as her orgasm toppled over and he moaned his own release. He held her tight as she pulsated around his throbbing cock. She took a deep breath and her shoulders sagged.

He rested his forehead against hers. “That has to be some kind of record.”

She laughed. “Well, I appreciated the quickie. Very much.”

He slowly moved out of her body and set her down on the floor. She straightened her clothes and fixed her hair as he went to the bathroom to throw away the condom.

“Sneaking around like this is kinda fun,” he whispered against her lips when he returned.

For him, maybe. She was having a heart attack. “Lia is going to be even more pissed that we kept this a secret. I almost told her a few minutes ago.”

He took her hand and started to leave the room. “Okay, so let’s tell her now.”

She pulled him back. “No!” She eyed him. “And I’m calling bullshit—you don’t even have clothes on.” Obviously he’d been counting on her to stop him.

He laughed. “Look, Jess, I’m a grown man and you’re a grown woman. We can date who we want to date,” he said softly, but she sensed his apprehension as well.

She swallowed hard. It should be that easy, but it wasn’t. If Lia wasn’t happy, maybe Mitch would pull away to keep the peace, and she selfishly didn’t want that possibility. “We will wait until your family’s early Christmas.”

And hope that a Christmas miracle saved both their asses.

Chapter Sixteen

December 16th…9 Days Until Christmas…

“You’re sure Lia and Malcolm aren’t here?” Jessica asked, hiding behind the large Christmas tree in the foyer of the inn the next day. She scanned the group of families all entering through the double doors.

Mitch nodded, taking her shoulders. “I’m positive. Relax. And time’s running out. There’s only a few days until Early Christmas Dinner. Sure we shouldn’t tell her before then?”

Jessica bit her lip. They probably should. He was right. But she was terrified of Lia’s reaction. She liked Mitch a lot, but she also worried about upsetting her friend. She didn’t want Lia to feel as though Jess preferred Mitch, when the other woman struggled with that feeling among her own family members. When they did tell her, Jess was desperate to find the right way so that no one got hurt. “I’ll think about it.” That day, she just wanted to enjoy decorating the inn’s Christmas tree with him.
