Her laugh was a slightly shocked sound, and he immediately sobered, realizing his actions. “Shit…sorry, was that okay?”

Placing her hands against his chest, she pushed him back onto the bed. “It was hot as hell,” she said before her mouth connected with his again.

He put on a condom in record time and then, grabbing her hips, he lowered her body down over his cock. He moaned against her lips as he felt her take him completely into her body. Damn, that felt so incredible.

Sitting up, she gripped the head board and moved faster, up and down. The friction between their bodies growing stronger…building to an intense sensation.

Jessica moaned in pleasure as he pressed deeper into her body, and the quick rocking of her hips slowed.

“I’m so close Jess,” he said, trying to hold off the orgasm threatening to explode. He came so fast with her. There was no effort at all.

Looking at her breasts just inches from his face, the curvy, sexy shape of her waist and hips and thighs…the long dark hair cascading over her beautiful soft, round shoulders and sexy collarbone. She was breathtaking. She was everything he hadn’t realized he’d been missing out on.

The world had a lot of amazing things to discover, but he’d yet to find something so precious and unique as Jessica Connolly.

Would he ever find anything like her ever again? Something worth giving this up for?

“Mitch, I’m coming,” she said, almost breathless as she pressed her pelvis forward. Her body spasmed around him and he felt her throbbing with the intensity of her orgasm.

He pushed himself in farther, as deep and hard as he could go, feeling his own orgasm topple over. He stared up at her gorgeous, satisfied expression as his body rippled in waves of pleasure and an immediate new longing and craving that made him feel like he could never possibly get enough. He released a deep breath, relaxed his tight grip on her body, and sank deeper into the bed cushions.

Jessica climbed off him, and he removed the condom and placed it in the trash can next to the bed. She snuggled into his side and rested her head against his chest. “I’m not sure I can live without that anymore,” she said. “You’ve spoiled me with amazing sex and now you’re planning on ditching me.” Her tone was playful, but he heard the note of seriousness.

He felt the same conflicted emotions. He traced a finger along her arm. “Have you given more thought about coming with me?” He didn’t want to push or put any pressure on her, but he was dying to know.

She nodded. “I have. I still don’t know.”

“Anything I can do to help the decision?” he asked, kissing the top of her head.

“I think you already just put your best case forward,” she said with a laugh that warmed his core, and he held her tighter.

“The coast is clear,” Mitch said an hour later. He stood in the open bedroom door, glancing up and down the hallway of the inn.

Sneaking out of his room without Lia noticing would only be fun for so long. The nervousness she’d felt all evening, just waiting for Lia to drop by the room for some reason or another had only been extinguished by Mitch’s passion. They’d barely slept all night and it was a blessing that Sarah hadn’t put brother and sister in neighboring rooms.

As awkward as the tree decorating had started out, they’d had a lot of fun, and no matter what meaning was behind the ornament, it was still so very special. Despite whatever happened, there was a memory of their holiday together and she’d always cherish that.

She’d be lying if she said she wasn’t curious about Maria, his colleague, but it was none of her business. Mitch traveled the world and met lots of different women all the time. Being with him now, for however long, would have to be enough. Unless, she decided to sell the bakery and go with him. His asking her about it that morning had surprised her. It did put a little pressure on, but it had also filled her heart with hope that he wasn’t exactly excited about leaving her. He wanted her with him.

The sound of kids in the main dining room drifted up the stairs. Laughter, joy, and tiny voices that had Jessica’s maternal clock kicking into overdrive, especially after that morning’s sex.

Mitch would make beautiful babies…

“What’s going on down there?” he asked, pulling a light blue sweater on over his still-wet-from-the-shower hair. He looked so freaking good all the time, it was hard to keep her hands and her true feelings to herself. She was definitely falling in love with him. In fact, she may have already fallen so hard she’d hit the ground.

“Breakfast with Santa,” she said. “Dove used to host one for the kids every year, so Sarah is doing it.” She couldn’t have been more thrilled when Sarah had decided to keep the inn and move home that fall. Using the B&B as an event center throughout the year was a genius idea. The money Sarah and Wes made from the inn’s event revenue was funding both of their own businesses—Sharrun’s Construction and Sarah’s App Development.

Mitch studied her.

“What?”

“I just haven’t seen that particular expression on your face before.”

“What expression?”

“That slight look of longing when you spoke about the kids. Do you want kids? I know you asked me about it the other night, but I don’t think we explored your feelings on the subject.”
