EPILOGUE TWO

BRONE

I started at Nara from across the training room. She was sitting with her three cyborgs, her head thrown back as she laughed at something the human male had done in the movie Oz had picked out for us to watch.

My heart ached. I wanted to be over there with her, but I had been banished to the other side of the room.

The three cyborgs had deemed me a danger to the tiny female. They refused to allow me to talk to her unless they were present.

I had attempted to catch her alone, but the three of them were always there, following her around and interfering in the pursuit of wooing my female.

And Nara was my female. Or should be once I could get her away from the much too shiny trio of cyborgs that never left her alone.

Jealously burned in my gut. It was a feeling I had gotten used to after watching the other cyborgs find their females and I remained constantly alone.

I knew I was intimidating. My massive size tended to frighten others away from me. I acted like I didn’t care. That I am not bothered by the fear I see in people’s eyes, but it cut me right down to my frame.

Nara was my chance for happiness. I refused to give her up. I could prove that my heart was far bigger than my size. I had so much love to give. All I needed was for Nara to see it, for her to seeme.

So lost in my thoughts, I didn’t hear it when Torque rushed into the training room, a look of pure terror on his face.

The movie cut off, everyone turning to look at him, concern etched on their faces. Whatever he was about to say wasn’t going to be good for the rebellion.

“They are here. The Global Allegiance has found us!”

The End…
