Idon’t know how she did it again, pulled me back from the darkness, but she did. I feel weak for succumbing to it, the urges of violence that keep sucking me back in, but she makes me feel strong. I don’t doubt I’ll be hearing about this later, how I fucking froze at the worse time. Somehow with Dick dead, I think talking about my mama will come easier. Ana accepts me anyways, despite my jagged and fucked up edges.
“I’m not leaving,”she told me. She knew what I was about to do, and she didn’t try to stop me. My dark fucking Goddess. Beaten and bloody as she watches me dole out our revenge.

Coming out and finding not only did we save our women, but also freed the rest of The Tomb? Well, Ana says it’s the icing on the cake. She also says she’s going to get me a cake as soon as possible. We aren’t going into town yet though, but when we do, apparently there are all kinds of foods she’s going to show me.
I don’t tell her I’ve had cake before, and instead let her get excited over sharing her favorite things with me. Thinking of her appetite fills me with a strange sort of pride but also fear. I don’t know how to provide for her out here.
Sammi is going to live, her injuries not pleasant, but not life threatening as long as she takes care. I don’t know what her and Ethan’s deal is, but she was happy to come with us when we left rather than go home.
We’re about five kilometers away from the now ruined and empty D1217 prison. Luis and the others started the fire and when the guards came to check it out, they had already planned the charge. Most of the prisoners just ran, escaping into the world to survive as they might. We have twenty-three with us total, and a big fucking world to explore. Crow left already, saying he’d find us sometime again. I don’t know where he comes and goes from, but one day I do intend to figure out his whole story. For now, though, I have enough to deal with.
I feel a light squeeze from the hand in mine and look up to Ana’s bright blue eyes staring at me.
Then again, with my queen by my side, I can do anything.
