Bonded Beyond Belief

CREW
I’ve never been the lovestruck male waiting around for the hand that fate has dealt to bring me my mate. That doesn’t mean I didn’t want to find the other half of my soul because I did. The more years that have passed, while I witness more of my packmates finding their mates, loneliness has become a bitter pill to swallow.

I have learned to rule as the Alpha of Golden Summit without a Luna by my side just fine. Now, I’m not sure I need my mate. Maybe my pack and I are better off without her. Or maybe she doesn’t exist at all. My heart has become hardened to the idea of a mate; there’s no reason to stop sampling the she-wolves who throw themselves at me.

I never expected that my little sister coming home during her spring break from college would bring my mate right to my door. If that isn’t enough, Elodie is a human who has no idea that she’s mine or about the existence of shifters. How can she become my Luna? Should I accept her or resist the mate bond out of spite? Did the Moon Goddess get this wrong or is she testing me?

ELODIE
Until I met Tilly in college, I didn’t understand true friendship. I’ve been alone for so long and trying to find my way in the world. Tilly showed me what it means to have a sister, even if we aren’t blood related. She let me get away with refusing to go back to her home with her for a while, but she won’t be put off this time.

Meeting Crew, Tilly’s brother, makes me feel things I’ve never experienced before. There’s a pull to him I don’t understand. That would be fine, but I don’t think he’s feeling the same thing. He’s avoiding me like I’m diseased, and I don’t understand why. Then there’s his all-female fan club which shouldn’t bother me as much as it does.

When the truth comes out, everything I believe to be true and the world around me shifts. Tilly, Crew, and everyone around me is something I never thought could be real. But they are. And I’m Crew’s mate, his Luna? Can he accept me? Will I find my home amongst a wolf pack and help to lead them, that is if they can even accept me? If I go back to where I belong, will Crew come after me or let me go?
