Five years ago, Myrina was a typical student living in New York until the Knights of John Brotherhood took over the world and stripped all women of their rights. Now, instead of reading her beloved books or going out for carefree nights on the town with friends, she must embroider and be obedient.
Her loyal high school sweetheart and best friend, Alex, remains by her side, determined to marry her. He insists that this is the only way to keep her safe under the new regime.
However, when women her age, including her best friend, start disappearing, she goes behind Alex’s back to join an underground organization of women called the Amazons, to fight back.
With her new army at her back, Myrina embarks on a perilous hunt for the missing women, only to run up against the mysterious Mr. Baldur, a Knight of John. Although he is the feared enemy, he breaks every rule the brotherhood set up only to rescue her from a life-threatening situation.
