Destinee turns enough to flash a smile back at Python and continues to walk off.

Python raises an eyebrow, his ice blue eyes shooting back over to me. “Sorry, what were you saying?”

I shake my head in amusement. “A piece of ass walks by and you get distracted, huh?”

Python snickers, “I suppose not much has changed.”

I concur, “I’d say,” Licking my lips, I get straight to the point. “We need an enforcer, brother. Hell, we need other officers too, but when Amara asked me if I had any idea who to bring in for an enforcer, you immediately came to mind.”

Python blinks a couple of times and chuckles. “Look at you, flatterin’ the fuck outta me. Why me, though? I ain’t special, man.”

I take in a deep breath, my heart pounding in my chest. "I want you to join our charter because I trust you.”

There aren’t many people I do trust, but Python has never led me astray. He’s always been there when I’ve needed a hand, and he’s never once fucked me over.

I continue, “They don’t make bikers like us anymore, brother. Me and Amara, we need an enforcer we can trust, and I know you’d be a great fit.”

Python’s silent for a couple of minutes, eyes locked on mine while I await his response.

Finally, he speaks up. “I don’t know, I like my life on the road, man. Love the freedom it gives me.”

There’s a twinge of disappointment that runs down my back, but this isn’t over with yet.

I have to convince him, so I’ll sell the fuck out of it. “I know you do. I enjoy it too, but life on the road gets old after a while. Don’t get me wrong, I love ridin’ and doin’ whatever the fuck I want. But, I’ve seen the benefits in havin’ a home base.”

Destinee comes back over with our drinks and hands them to both of us.

I fish my wallet out of my pocket and hand her thirty bucks, “Keep the change.”

She plasters on that fake smile and bats her lashes at me. “Thanks so much, cupcake.” before walking off to check on some other customers.

I clear my throat, continuing, “Whenever there’s business here in the States, Amara sends me. You could ride out with me when we have to handle shit with the other charters. There are plenty of ways we could make this work, brother.”

Python nods his head a couple of times, “I can’t promise anything other than the fact I’ll think about it.”

I nod, trying not to seem too hopeful. "Good. I’ll be waitin’ for your answer, but I know you’d be a good fit. This is the first time they’ve had a Mexican charter, man. We have the opportunity to have solid roots in a club that’s expanding.”

Python nods, processing everything I’m telling him. “You’re making valid points. I’m not saying no, Razor. I just gotta think this through before I jump into it.”

The music shifts into something sultry, and the stage lights change.

Out walks Oakleigh, clad in a black latex number.

She dances with grace against the pole, her body moving in time with the music.

I gnaw on my bottom lip as I watch her every move, memories of her riding me in her car flooding through me.

I glance to the left and Python’s enjoying the show.

A pang of jealousy roars through me realizing Python’s interested in her, then again all the men in here must be too.

I recognize the glint in his eye, so I shoot it down immediately.

With a low and intense growl, I rip his fantasies right out of him. “She’s off-limits.”

Python tears his eyes away from Oakleigh and meets mine, furrowing his brows. “She your woman or somethin’?”

I lick my lips and think about my response. “I wouldn’t say she’s my woman, but I will say she’s . . . on my radar.”
