"Hi!" She greeted.

"Wow. You look incredible." He husked and she felt her cheeks heat.

"Thank you." Moving back, she motioned with a sweep of her hand. "Please come in."

He stepped past her, and he smelled incredible. Freshly showered and so freaking yummy to look at. He wore nice black dress slacks with a sheen to them. Wool. He wore wool slacks. She'd bet her shop on it.

The dark of the slacks set off the soft gray dress shirt. Which also had a nice sheen to it. She guessed a tight weave twill.

He teased. "Do you like my shirt?"

Her eyes snapped to his and she felt the heat crawl up her body once more.

"Oh, I'm sorry." She shook her head once. "It's a job hazard. I always guess at the fabric clothing is made of."

He laughed. "Okay. I'll play at that. What fabrics am I wearing?"

She smiled. His eyes were mesmerizing. Beautiful. And when he looked at her, she felt like he was looking into her soul. "Wool slacks and a tight weave twill dress shirt."

He nodded. "I'll have to take your word for the shirt, but the slacks are wool. Good eye."

She chuckled in embarrassment. "Well, it's what I do."

He turned and glanced around her living room and embarrassment flooded through her. Her house was small and simple. She spent very little time decorating it. Lara tried helping her over the years, but it wasn't as important as making sure the boutique was stylish. She knew what the HOG looked like and now she felt a bit shy about her place.

His voice was deep and clear. "You have a nice house."

Her heart hammered hard in her chest. "Thank you. It's small though. I know you're used to much more room."

"We live in an old factory. It's positively massive." Her cheeks felt warm, and he stepped close. He touched her chin with his fingers and lifted her face up to his. "Big isn't always better. It's simply bigger."

"Yeah."

She stared into his eyes. He was impossible to look away from. Then, he lowered his head slowly. Ever. So. Slowly. And his lips, so warm and soft, pressed sweetly against hers. He tilted his head and fit his lips better over hers. His hand left her chin and circled around to the nape of her head, his fingers splayed over her head and held her in place.

Her hands circled around his waist and slid up his back and their kiss deepened. His tongue slid along her lips, and her mouth opened to let him in.

The warmth of his tongue sliding into her mouth sent a riot of shivers down her spine. His scent, fresh and clean and spicy, filled her senses.

He pulled back slightly and touched his forehead to hers. His voice was gruff when he said, "I hope you don't mind. I've wanted to kiss you for about two years now."

His words echoed through her head. All of them. But, when she opened her mouth what came out was, "I'll only mind if you don't do that again."

His lips lowered to hers. The feel of her warm lips on his felt so damned good. She smelled fresh and citrusy and delectable. Her body pressed against his felt like two missing puzzle pieces finally fitting together. His heart raced. His pulse thumped along in his neck, and lower in his body other things began to feel different. At this rate, it would be a long night.

He pulled away slightly and kissed the tip of her nose. "I didn't want you to be disappointed."

She laughed. "Mission accomplished."

He sucked in a deep breath and stepped back. "I thought we'd go to Porter's and then for a drive. Maya showed me a ridge along the mountain with a breathtaking view of town. The lights twinkle and the glow of the streetlights offers a Christmas card view of Glen Hollow."

"Oh wow. I didn't know such a thing was up there."

"Right. Well, things being what they were in the past, that's not a surprise. And they'll likely not want a stream of people driving up there and snooping around. But, since my brother-in-law is the president up there, and my sister their sheriff, I'm in a unique position to be able to enjoy it."

Her smile was perfection. Her full lips parted and now that he knew how those lips felt against his, her smile was so much more than it had been before. And before, had been pretty friggen sweet.
