Myles chuckled. "Sorry. I know it's been rough. I just thought maybe you found someone to bring you peace."

"Well, it's not someone, it's something."

Myles stood and walked out to the kitchen. "Do tell."

He poured himself another cup of coffee as Jace spoke. "I bought a bar."

"A bar?"

"Yes. Remember me telling you I've been tending bar in town here in Blossom Springs?"

"Yeah. I remember you saying it kept you moving and your mind active, so PTSD didn't come calling."

"Yep. Well, the old guy that owns the bar decided to sell and he offered it to me first. I snapped it up. It has so much potential. There's so much that can be changed here to make it a little cash cow. It's right on the beach, there's a sandbar, and it's perfect. Well, it'll be perfect after I make changes."

"Jace, I'm so happy for you. Really. You sound absolutely happy."

"Oh, Myles, man, you have no idea. This is what I've been looking for."

Myles chuckled. He turned and leaned against the counter as Shianne entered the room, looking absolutely stunning in shiny brown leggings and a fuzzy white sweater. He tapped his phone and put the call on speaker.

"Jace, you've got a good head on your shoulders, and I know you'll make that bar everything it can be."

He grinned at Shianne and held his right arm up for Shianne to snuggle in. He kissed the top of her head.

"Thanks man. Your support means everything to me. And, speaking of, I'm having a grand opening of the bar. February first. I'd love it if you came down here and celebrated with me. Sid's coming. Quinn lives here too. We'll get the gang together and have a great time. The girls down here are hot too!"

He felt Shianne tense slightly and he squeezed her shoulder. "I'm happy to come and help you with your grand opening. It'll be a blast. But I'll bring my own girl."

"What? No fucking way!"

Myles chuckled. "Yes, fucking way."

"Well, I can't wait to meet the woman who finally captured the elusive Myles Sager."

Myles chuckled. "And, not sure if you heard, but I'm going to be an uncle in a couple of weeks too."

"No way! Maya's pregnant?"

"Man, Maya got married at Thanksgiving last year. I'm sure I told you this."

"You did. You didn't tell me she was expecting."

"Oops. My bad."

"Wow. It seems we have a lot of catching up to do. Are you coming down?"

"I wouldn't miss it for anything. That's the truth."

"Okay, Bud. I've got a few more phone calls to make. See you in February and Merry Christmas to you."

"Merry Christmas, Jace."

He ended the call and kissed Shianne on the top of her head. "Are you up for a trip to Florida in February?"

She tilted her head up and smiled at him. "I'm more than ready."

He kissed her lips, then took a deep breath. "Okay. I've got to check in with Tate. I'll follow you to the boutique and make sure everything is good."
