I turned in his embrace to face him, gently cupping his cheeks in my hands. "Anywhere you are is home to me," I said sincerely, pulling him down into a tender kiss.

Judging by the grin on Thorsten's face when we finally broke apart, my words had reassured him. Contentment shone in those striking silver eyes.

"Well, anywhere with a bar at least," I amended cheekily.

Thorsten laughed, the sound warm and full-bodied. Taking my hand, he led me inside, through the music room where Loki liked practicing his new flute, past the massive study where Thorsten handled the administrative tasks of repairing the castle and the portal, until we reached the master bedroom we now shared.

My father certainly seemed to be settling into his retirement here at Élivágar. I'd passed him on my way to dinner earlier, already deep in his cups and regaling some servants with colorful stories from his youth. In his own words, living out histwilight years in a castle was 'one hell of a retirement plan.' I just hoped he didn't drink the cellars completely dry.

As for the twins, I don't think I'd ever seen Thor and Loki happier than they were here. For the first time, they had other Titan children their size to play with, not to mention no shortage of new wonders to explore. Just yesterday, they'd come bursting into my room babbling about the giant turtles in one of the moat gardens. Their laughter echoed constantly through Élivágar's halls.

My thoughts scattered like dandelion seeds as Thorsten began planting warm kisses down the column of my throat, his large hands roaming possessively over my body. I sighed, surrendering myself to his passion. In moments like these, nothing else mattered but the press of his heated skin against mine.

Later, we lay together reveling in the blissful afterglow. My head rested against Thorsten's muscular chest, rising and falling with each steady breath. His fingers slowly combed through my hair.

"I know I don't say it enough, but I'm thankful for you every day," he rumbled. "You've made me happier than I imagined possible."

I smiled, snuggling closer against him. "Back at you. Who knew the man of my dreams was a giant from another world?"

Thorsten's chuckle reverberated through me. "The mysteries of fate are unfathomable indeed." A comfortable silence settled between us then, words unnecessary.

The future suddenly seemed rife with possibility. Thorsten planned to rebuild the portal connecting our worlds, using his research from before. A part of me would always miss my world, but I knew now where I truly belonged. Maybe one day we could reestablish contact safely between the realms. For now, I was exactly where I wanted to be - building a life and family with the man I loved.

THE END
