Page 13 of Taken By the Titan

His head tilted back on the couch, his large Adam’s apple bouncing, his sharp down-turned lips parted while his own body shuddered violently. The gush of liquid heat stained his robes.

“I shouldn’t have done that.” He said, gripping me and pulling me away, a tinge of disgust on his face.

Several loud blasts echoed from the distance, gunfire, no doubt about it. I ducked low and rolled onto the floor while he stood; the lights in the room sprung to life, and the door swung open.

The other titan who hurriedly entered the room was just as handsome. His black hair was also braided and long and tucked behind his sharp elf-like ears.

They spoke to each other in a harsh, fast language I couldn’t understand even if I tried. The one I was with didn’t even look at me when he removed his red coat and tossed it at me before ordering me in English to hide my ‘tempting nakedness.’

I complied, not wanting to stick around for whatever was going on; perhaps it was Melanie? A part of me hoped it was a part of some rescue attempt, that Jaxon and I weren’t left to rot as I had believed. Look at me, still full of naïve optimism.

Relying on someone else to save me was foolish. No way in hell was I going to let myself believe any of this was happening in some attempt to spare Jaxon or me. I would figure my own way out, and when I did, the first thing I was going to do was pack up mines and my father’s shit and get as far away from this city as possible.

And did he just give me the robe he stained with his cum? I sniffed it; it was full of his lovely scent. I was going to ignore that as much as I could.

The titan grabbed me by the arm and guided me through the panic-stricken crowd; I cried out when some asshole stepped on my barefoot.

We reached the outside; the night skies as melancholy as they were during the day. Did the sun ever shine in this city?

The sound of something whizzing past my head drew my focus. Holy shit, was that a bullet?

The titan pushed me out the way. Once I hit the ground; I took my chance. With little thought or a plan, I rolled into the crashing sea. I immediately regretted it when the force of the chaotic waves slammed me against the rocks before sucking me into a watery whirlwind.

I was a diver used to swimming, my legs were strong, and I could hold my breath for almost fifteen minutes straight, but I had never swum these waters before. I wasn’t prepared for the freezing cold; my chest tightened in response to my veins ceasing up, I had to get out of here fast!

Fighting against the waves, I reached the surface and took in a massive chunk of air. I was too far from the shore to make it back. A golden flame peeked from the surface; I didn’t know what the hell it was. But if I could latch onto it before my energy ran out, then that’s what I was going to do. My plan was to rest and, with any luck, make it back to shore.

But the waters had other ideas. A gigantic wave threw me off balance and slammed me against something hard, dislocating my arm. I’m going to die! I panicked. The one thing I knew I should never do in the water and embarrassingly kicked until someone gripped me by the neck and flung me out of the water and onto a rough metal grate.

“Stupid Dwarf!” It was that titan bastard. His white hair clung to his face as he snarled like a beast in fury. “You’re becoming more trouble than you are worth!” He plopped down. He was bare-chested, body looking fine, his arms…I imagined them pinning me down. Stop it, you dumb horny libido! His pants clung to his massive thighs.

I had lost his coat in the waves and was naked again until I noticed the red and gold-trimmed garment he wore next to me. “What was I supposed to do?” I said, adjusting the…I don’t know what to call this. It looked like it could be a tunic, so that’s what I would call it, to cover as much of my naked body as possible. “Let you take me?” I finished.

“I saved your life.” He spat. “You were nearly shot!” He didn’t give me time to respond, but then again, I had nothing to say. I suppose I owed him my life if he was telling the truth. He pressed a button on his watch and spoke in that language of hisI couldn’t understand. The person on the other end replied. I became fixated on the device. Any new tech piece was a cause of awe and wonderment, I wanted to see it, use it, take it apart, and see how it worked.

“Is that technology from your world?” I asked, resisting the urge to reach out for it.

“It’s a comms device. It’s nothing. You dwarves had this tech too.” He scoffed. He looked paler than before, dark circles formed around his eyes. He looked sick.

“What’s your name?” I asked, hoping to gain some commonality with him. Isn’t that what you’re supposed to do when kidnapped? Let the other know you are a person too instead of an object, though I didn’t know how well that would work on a titan. “What are you?” I asked when he didn’t answer.

“A titan.” He said in a snooty tone.

“That’s what we call you, though I get why. But I’m sure you call yourselves something else.”

“That is none of your concern, little one.” His tone said, don’t even try it. “You should focus more on how you plan to convince me that I should bother to take you with me.”

“Did you think I would just come quietly? You’re angry because I took an opportunity to get away from you? You who held my friend prisoner and forced me to…” I didn’t want to finish.

“Look at you.” He said it as though it was plain to see. “What did you really think would happen to you once you came here? You never should have come here.” He sneered and muttered something else in his language. “Why did I jump in after you? I’ll never understand.” He grumbled more to himself.

“Why did you?”

“I told you I don’t know.” He looked exasperated.

“Did you feel the same as I did? Is that why you touched me?”

“You felt it too?” He looked surprised.
