I watched on the monitor as the rest of the water left the darkroom and I saw the shadowy figures of Thorsten and the others through the little drone.

“Now I can remove this tether.”Raze sighed, his oxygen hissing before he turned the valve off.

“If we’re lucky, we should at least be able to turn on the emergency lights.”Thorsten said.

“Holy shit, this thing still has power?”Jaxon exclaimed.

“One can hope.”

“So how do we loot?”Jon spoke up.

“I’ll focus on getting the power on. Explore if you like but remember our deal and why you’re here.”

“Me and Kal will map out as much of the ship as possible until then.”Jaxon lifted the small drone.

“Maybe Thorsten needs me for something,” I said, not wanting to go.

“Kal, stay on task. Mapping the ship so the others won’t get lost is wise. I don’t know how long it will take me to get some power here.”

“Fine. Jaxon, we’re looking for the storage room as our main objectives and any other waterlogged rooms. If we can find multiple safe exits that would be great too.” I said, feeling embarrassed that I needed to be reminded to stay focused.

“Good.”He said, carrying the drone away.

Once Jaxon was alone, he held the drone to his face so I could see him better in the dark. I hoped he didn’t bring up our past conversation. Now was not the time.“Okay, I’m alone.”He said brushing his wet blond strands from his face.

“Do you see any other exits?”

“Kal, I don’t know what the hell he did to you, but you no longer have to pretend you love him.”

“Jaxon, it’s not pretend, it’s true.” Great, I knew it.

Gio let a small chuckle escape his lips. “I warned you. I told you he had brainwashed him and it was too late to save him.”

“What?!” I turned to Gio, taken by surprise by his words.

“Kal…”Jaxon said my name as if he could read my thoughts.

“What the hell is this?”

“Did you think I would rely solely on you?” Gio folded his arms and stood over me causing me to back away from the table the monitor and other tech equipment were on.

“You don’t need him.”Jaxon spat.“I’m already down here now where can I find that damn rune?”

“Jaxon! No!” I tried to push Gio out of the way so I could focus the conversation between the two of us but Gio grabbed me pulling me away from the camera.

“Hey! Don’t you dare hurt him!”

“I’m not hurting him, I’m restraining him.” Gio laughed.

“You don’t have to do that! I know what it looks like and I don’t mind killing that rapist titan bitch.”

“Jaxon, don’t do it!”

“He’ll be weakened, so killing him should be easier with those advanced implants I paid for.” Gio cut off the radio without giving Jaxon time to reply. I gripped the table, trying my best to prevent him from pulling me back, but he yanked at me without much effort at all.
