Her breathing became erratic as she clamped down on my cock. Fuck, she was close, and I needed her to come like I needed air. Picking up the pace, I pounded into her, watching her lips part on the scream I’d asked her for.

She drew out my name like it had twenty syllables instead of one.

I tugged on her hair until my mouth reached her ear. “I don’t think I heard you right the first time. Whose pussy was it?”

“Fucker.”

“Try again,” I taunted as I pounded into her, her pussy damn near strangling me.

“Switch’s p…p…fuckkk!”

Her pussy spasmed around me with the force of her orgasm and I followed her over the edge spilling into her. Both our chests heaved, our breaths in sync, a bead of sweat trickling down the delicate line of her neck. My tongue darted out to lap it up, her skin warm and sweet against my tongue.

She moaned, the contented sound reaching deep inside my chest, warming it. And she thought I could ever want anyone else. There was no going back to scraps after you’d dined on prime rib.

“We have to get ready.”

Stel didn’t sound the slightest bit happy about it either, which surprised me. With Antonio out of the picture, the club decided to eliminate Los Sepultureros before we went after any more safe houses. Which meant Stel would get her shot at killing Mateo.

This wouldn’t be the first time I’d had to fight injured, so I knew from personal experience that tonight was going to suck. The wound was high enough on my shoulder thatit wouldn’t affect my aim, but firing a gun, or a street brawl if it came to that, was still going to hurt like a bitch. Stel’s reluctance, though, didn’t make any sense to me.

“The club can do without us tonight if you’d rather sit this one out.”

“It’s not that.” She huffed, slipping from my grasp to turn and face me. “I’m worried about Delilah. She thinks she’s ready to take on Mateo, but what if she isn’t? What if he hurts her?”

My girl had a heart that was twice as big as her mouth. It was one of the many things I loved about her, so I didn’t have the heart to tell her that I didn’t think Delilah cared much if she made it out alive or not so long as Mateo went to his grave.

“Stel, she’s going to go after him no matter what you say. All we can do is try our best to protect her while she does.”

“I hate that you’re right.”

She was pouty, and lord knows I wanted to fuck that pout right off her face, but we had places to be. So, I gave Stel the next best thing to an orgasm.

“If you stick close to me, I think it’ll be safe enough now that Antonio’s dead for you to ride your bike tonight. What do you say I ask Hunter if we can ride out from the club rather than everybody meeting here?”

Stel threw her arms around my neck and gave me a kiss that damn near curled my toes. If my shoulder didn’t hurt too bad later, maybe I’d say to hell with the new paint job and fuck her against her bike.

Then my night went to shit, all plans of fucking Stel forgotten.

CHAPTER 31

SWITCH

Delilah sat behind me on my bike while Stel rode on her baby beside me. I missed having Stel ride with me, but hearing her whoop of joy was a hell of a consolation prize. Plus, it was nice to see her looking more like her old self.

She didn’t think I’d noticed the changes in her since Hunter pulled her from that warehouse, but I had. Stel had always known exactly who she was, and that gave her a quiet sort of confidence. One that had been noticeably absent as of late.

Not to mention the nightmares. They still plagued her, but I’d chosen to kiss her awake when they did and pretend that I did it solely to screw her. She could keep her pride and I could avoid that tight feeling in my chest every time she chanted the word no in her sleep like it was a damn prayer.

For tonight, I’d watch her ride and ignore the tweak in my shoulder, pretending that everything was the way it used to be. Only, maybe better, because I never got to hold the old Stel in my arms at night.

Everyone in front of me slowed, instantly alert now that we were approaching the last turn before the dirt road that led to Los Sepultureros’ hideout. We would have to kill our engines and walk the bikes from here on up to the stand of trees where I’d seen Ryder’s bike last time.

Delilah hopped off my bike and walked over to Stel, helping her push her baby to the only hiding spot available to us. Once everyone’s bike was under the trees, Gunner grabbed the canvas bag he kept his sniper rifle in and handed it to Valentina. Hell, what was happening right now? That man didn’t let anyone touch that bag.

In usual form, she wore heels that sank into the grass, totally useless in my opinion, but even with the bag she easily kept pace with the rest of the guys.

The dark was our friend, and Ryder seemed to know the way. Still, we had to run between the groupings of trees that seemed to crop up out of nowhere.
