“What?” I asked stupidly again.

Aislinn pursed her lips, and I realized that this was the first time we had ever spoken. She was beautiful as she looked deeply into my eyes and spoke.

“There are those who have the visions,” she said, “and those who interpret them to gather meaning. If you’re both, this could be a prophecy.”

I gave her a confused look and saw her forcing herself not to scoff at me.

“Big, important things...” she said as if she thought I was too dumb to understand more complicated words, “What you saw might be of great importance for the realms.”

“I should tell someone,” I mumbled, “before I forget.”

“You cannot forget it,” she said, “even if you want to.”

I did not know why, but that thought made my stomach flip with fear.
