"You know. That she wants…" his voice trailed off.

I was more confused than ever. It wasn’t like Luca to not be precise and articulate. "What? What does she want?"

Luca stopped pacing and folded his arms across his chest, leaning against the wall.

"Do you like her?"

What kind of a question was that?

Of course, I did.

"Yeah, so?" He simply nodded so I continued. "But I know there's a thing between you two and I won't get in the way. Is that what this is all about?"

He sighed heavily. "Yes. But it's not what you think. She told me that she wants both of us."

What?

"Explain, 'wants both of us.'"

He shrugged, “That’s what she said. I thought she would have told you too."

I shook my head, not knowing what to think.

Luca rubbed his chin. "I had thought I'd have more time to think about what she said, but now that she's back here with us again…I mean, if she means what I think she means, then that's a bit weird right? You know what I mean?"

If I wasn't so confused right now, I would have laughed at Luca's rantings, but I couldn't get the idea out of my head myself.

Both of us with Catalina?

Neither of us had been in a polygamous relationship before, but we had shared women in the past, but they were one-time things. Usually nights filled with alcohol, drugs, and women. Innocent flings at a party that weren't serious and didn't have any expectations behind them.

Luca shrugged, “I guess if I had to share her with anyone, it would be one of you. I don't trust anyone else to take care of her."

I looked at him shocked. "You're actually considering this?"

"Perhaps. I've had a few days to process it. I figure we just see what happens. Time will tell how things turn out.” He pushed off the wall, "Anyway, now you know."

I had to admit, it wasn't the worst idea. Who knows, it may even work out. "I'm going to go check on her. See if she needs anything."

"You go ahead. I'll be back soon. I'm going to hit the shower."

Returning to the room, I found Catalina rifling through a purse. She fished out a phone and held it out to me. "Nico, can you charge this?"

"Uh, sure." I took the phone. The screen was smashed badly but nothing I couldn't get fixed. "I just wanted to check if you need anything else. Are you comfortable?"

She stared at me for a moment, "Yes. You can tell me what's on your mind."

Was I that transparent?

As if she heard my thoughts, she patted the bed beside her. "I can tell something's up. What have you guys been talking about?"

I smiled, "You. Luca told me what you said the last time he saw you. Why didn't you tell me?"

"Hmm, never got the chance. And I know how you feel about relationships." She shrugged, "I'm not saying that's what I want though. I just know what I don’t want.”

I sighed, "I just don't know if I can do relationships."

"I'm not asking you to. It's not about a serious relationship. It's about me. I like you both and I don't want to choose between you, and I don't want to come between you either."
