“Are you going to want Liam to marry you?” he blurted out.

Both of them gaped at him.

“What?” Lottie asked.

“Nico, what are you talking about?” Liam asked, leaning forward. “Are you saying you want a divorce?”

Nico jumped to his feet, unable to stay still. His emotions “What? No! I don’t want a divorce. But what about Lottie? She would be the smarter one to marry. And she should have your name. She needs your protection more. I’m no one, but Lottie she’s—”

“You’re no one?” Lottie yelled.

Nico froze, staring down at her.

“I’m sorry for yelling,” she said, but then her face filled with ire. “But that’s the stupidest thing I’ve ever heard. Are you serious? You really think that Liam would divorce you to marry me? And then what? We’d live happy ever after? The two of us, with you in the background because you’re no one after all.”

His mouth opened. Shut.

She turned to Liam. “I think maybe you should let him come, all his brains seem to have diverted from his brain to his cock.”

“Lottie!” he finally said, shocked. He’d never heard her say the word cock. It was sexy, but still surprising.

“You be quiet,” she told him fiercely. “You’re not to talk until you make sense.”

“But it’s true—”

“You should spank him too,” Lottie told Liam. “He spoke badly about himself, and that’s a rule, right?”

“Lottie is right, Nico, you’re not to put yourself down.”

Lottie gave him a triumphant look. He glared back. “You don’t top me, brat. If Liam isn’t here, then I top you.”

“What? Who decided that?”

“We did,” Liam told her. “Nico is a switch, and if I’m not around, he’s responsible for your safety. So, you’ll obey him if I’m not here.”

“Not if he’s gonna be an idiot and call himself a no one.”

“I didn’t call myself a no one,” he muttered.

“That’s exactly what you did,” Liam growled at him. “Come here.”

Nico moved over to him as Liam sat up and parted his legs. “Kneel.”

He knelt between the other man’s thighs, staring up at him. Liam reached down to cup his face between his hands. “You’re a fucking idiot.”

“But—”

“Quiet,” Liam commanded.

He closed his mouth.

“I would never set you aside.”

His words filled the part of him that was always uncertain of his place. That needy spot inside of him he wished didn’t exist but he seemed unable to eradicate.

“You are mine.”

“I didn’t mean you’d set me aside—”
