“Don’t.” She shook her head.

“Thank you for raising that kid,” he said solemnly. “Thankyou for making him into the man he is. He’s worthy of my girl, and I’m proud tohave him as a son-in-law.”

Yep, she was crying. And that was good, too. She’d never fuckingcried before she’d met Theo Taggart. He and his amazing, unusual family hadcracked her wide open, and it had made all the difference.

They’d taught her how to love. How good it was to be loved.

“Thank you for raising the smartest girl I’ve ever met. Thekindest. I’m so proud to be her mother-in-law.”

“We’re going to be the best grandparents,” he said with asmile.

“Boomer, stop making Erin cry.” Daphne grabbed her husband’shand. “I’m sorry. He’s been very emotional the last couple of days. He’s done alot of talking to his younger self.”

Boomer shrugged. “I’ve heard it’s healing.”

“Enough with the healing. Let’s get to dancing,” Daphnedeclared.

Grandparent. She was going to have grandbabies. She wasgoing to watch her son settle in with the love of his life, and one day herdaughter would do the same.

She’d come to this place angry at the world, closed down andsure she would be alone.

She was so surrounded by love.

And Daphne was right. It was time to dance.

She downed the rest of her champagne and walked up to theDJ, taking the microphone. “Hey, Theo Taggart, this guy’s about to play someTaylor Swift and we’re going to dance the night away because I am so in lovewith you.”

A loud whoop went up, and she saw Big Tag laughing as hepushed his brother forward. The Taggart brothers had been ribbing each otherall day.

Her husband was suddenly front and center, lookingdeliciously sexy with his tuxedo coat off, the white sleeves of his dress shirtrolled up. His smile was brighter than any sun, and he filled her whole fuckingsoul with joy.

“You know I never turn down a Taylor Swift song,” he said ashe lifted her up and twirled her around. “And I never, never turn down you, gorgeous.”

He hauled her onto the dance floor as the song began.

A long road. That was what Boomer had called it. Such a longroad to get here, and she wouldn’t change a single turn or curve, even theworst ones.

Erin leaned against her husband and realized the world wasstill opening. There were still glorious adventures to be had.

She danced under the stars and looked forward to everysingle day she had with these people.

With her family.
